Innovation is part of our DNA at SA Power Networks – from designing the Stobie pole to exploring AI in the field and across our systems. As we modernise our operations, we’re using a range of tools to support the way we work. One example is an AI-powered app we built that allows crews to search manuals using natural language – helping them work more efficiently and find answers fast. SAP recently produced a video case study showcasing how we’ve applied its platform as part of this broader transformation. 📽️Watch it here

We recently attended the inaugural STEM Women Graduate Careers event in Adelaide — and it’s safe to say the future of STEM is in very capable hands. As a key player in South Australia’s energy sector, we were proud to be part of the line-up and remain committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce — especially by supporting women in STEM. It was great to meet so many people eager to shape the future of energy. Our team shared what it’s like to work in the energy industry, chatted about our graduate and intern programs, and explored how fresh thinking is helping drive the energy transition. Thanks to everyone who came by for a chat — we loved hearing your stories and sharing ours. If you’re about to graduate or have recently finished your degree, applications are open for our 2026 Engineering and Digital & Technology Graduate Programs. Join us and help shape South Australia's energy future. Applications close 11pm Sunday 27 April → https://lnkd.in/gwSdBP53 📸 Iris Zhou, Graduate Engineer, Nicole Scott, D&T Graduate, Kat Docking, D&T Graduate and Eleanor Ostrenga, Pathway Programs Engagement Partner #STEMCareers #WomenInSTEM #GraduatePrograms #EnergyFuture #SAPowerNetworks

What do you do with 46 defibrillators you no longer need? The answer is simple — give them a second life. As part of a recent refresh, our Business Services team donated 46 Schiller defibrillators after upgrading to new Lifepak CR2 models across the state. Partnering with St John’s, they ensured these life-saving devices found new homes where they were needed most. Some were placed with First Nations communities, while the rest were packed into a Container for Hope and sent to support aid efforts in Ukraine — a brilliant example of helping others wherever we can 💛 Pictured: Aaron and Helen both Business Services Officers in our Metro Operations team.

We loved being part of Solomontown Kindergarten’s very first World Autism Awareness Day event 💙 Our people play an important role in the community, and yesterday, Jay from our Community Engagement team and Matt, a training consultant from our Port Augusta depot, visited the kindy to join the celebrations. The children were excited to see our truck up close and have a chat about how we keep the lights on and celebrate neurodiversity and creating an inclusive space for all children. Solomontown Kindergarten is proud to home the local Inclusive Preschool Program, supporting children with additional needs and complex communication needs to access kindy. Yesterday’s event brought together children from @Solomontown Primary School Small Class and Mid North Education Centre, creating a fun day where kids of all abilities could connect and celebrate what makes them unique. We’re grateful to have been part of it — and for the opportunity to support a community that champions inclusion every day. 📸 Swipe to see some highlights from the day #WAAD #WorldAutismAwarenessDay #CommunityConnections #Neurodiversity #InclusionMatters #SAPowerNetworks

As a leader, attracting and retaining talent is a key priority so I’m thrilled to announce two new additions to the executive leadership team at SA Power Networks. Eva brings a wealth of experience in leveraging technology and data to drive transformative change. Her vision and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our network through smart grid technologies, improve customer experience through digital platforms, and explore new opportunities in the evolving energy landscape. Be brave and shave – or colour! 💇♂️💙 This morning, some of our people stepped up (and shaved down!) to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave through our SA Power Networks Employee Foundation. They braved the clippers and shaved their hair or added a splash of colour – all in the name of raising money for families facing blood cancer. So far, our SA Power Networks team has raised over $15,000 – and counting. That puts us fifth in South Australia! Every dollar helps fund life-changing research and vital support services for people living with blood cancer. A massive shoutout to everyone who donated or cheered our brave team on. Check out the before and after photos. 👇 #WorldsGreatestShave #Community #Teamwork #PositiveImpact #LeukaemiaFoundation
