Our latest research shows audio listenership has grown 31% year on year, yet 75% of audio advertising is still focused solely on lower funnel tactics. Led by Thad King (National Head of Planning) and Mette Breith (Head of Marketing Intelligence), the study highlights a clear opportunity to unlock more value from audio by using it across the full funnel. That means building brand equity, creating emotional connections, and driving long-term impact. As broadcast radio, streaming and podcasts continue to evolve, we believe it's time to evolve how we plan for audio too. Congratulations to Meaghan Lowth (Performance Manager) for taking out the top spot at the 2025 Yahoo Academy Pitch Off, alongside her team ‘Hoo Ya’! Meaghan was one of 30 emerging leaders selected across Australia and Singapore for this year's cohort, where delegates had just two hours to develop a fundraising solution for youth charity Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD). The winning idea, MMAD About Silence, tackled youth mental health in a powerful and unexpected way, using busking, silent disco activations, and sport partnerships to bring awareness to the unseen struggles of young people. The campaign sparked curiosity with the hashtag #WhyCantIHear and mapped out a clear path to long-term funding through brand collaboration. A powerful idea for a powerful cause, supporting the incredible work of Musicians Making a Difference. We’re so proud of you, Meaghan! #WeCreateWhatsNext #UnitetoUplift

It was great to see the Future of TV Advertising 2025 conference spark so many important conversations around the evolving screen landscape. A highlight for us was seeing our Co-CEO, Sian Whitnall, take the stage to represent our voice in the Local Media Rising panel. From the value of homegrown storytelling to the role of local broadcasters in a global content environment, Sian brought fresh perspective on why local still matters, and how we keep growing the Total TV market together.
Plenty of bold thinking at Future of TV Advertising 2025 in Sydney this week, where the spotlight was firmly on the evolving role of screens, streaming, and effectiveness. We were proud to see three of our OMG Australia leaders take to the stage: 🎤 Sian Whitnall, Co-CEO of OMD Australia, 🎤 Alex Pacey, Chief Product Officer, OMG, and 🎤 Marelle Salib, our newly promoted Chief Media Partnerships Officer, OMG. From measurement to agnostic media planning, their contributions cut through on what really matters for clients in this complex landscape. Other standout moments included OzTAM Pty Ltd’s Karen Halligan launching StreamScape to better capture cross-platform viewing, and Thinkbox UK’s Profit Ability 2 reinforcing TV’s unmatched impact on ROI. In an editorial release prior to the event, OMG’s Kristiaan Kroon challenged the status quo, arguing that it’s agencies, not broadcasters, who must lead in solving screen fragmentation, powered by tools like our proprietary Multi Screen Optimiser. An event full of smart debate, fresh insight, and forward momentum. #FutureOfTV #TVAdvertising #Streaming #OmnicomMediaGroup #OMDAustralia #MediaInnovation

A great example of data-driven strategy and partnership in action. We are proud to collaborate with The Trade Desk and McDonald's on the work featured in this Success in Short case study. Well done to Martin Newman (National Media Manager, McDonald’s) and 2025 Trade Desk Innovator, Florian Vaissiere (Group Transformation & Performance Director, OMD) for their leadership throughout! #WeCreateWhatsNext #BuildTogether #CommercialImpact
McDonald's, fondly known as “Macca’s” in Australia, and its agency, OMD Australia, turned to us to help execute an innovative audience-centric strategy that used its first-party data to drive sales of its affordable McSmart Meal. By leveraging its first-party data with Unified ID 2.0 (UID2), we were able to create lookalike audiences similar to loyal customers. The UID2 lookalike audiences outperformed third-party data with a 66% higher click-through rate, a 92% increase in revenue, an 87% rise in purchases, and a 31% boost in return on ad spend.

A big congratulations to the Artbot team, Sophie Tran and Nina Gonong, and to our clients at Suncorp for their continued drive to innovate in outdoor. Thank you to the OMA for recognising the work. Congratulations to Amelia Tracey (Finance Account Director) on 10 incredible years! From her early days at Hearts & Science to working with Apple and McDonald's’s at OMD, Amelia has embraced the past decade with expertise, curiosity, and a fantastic sense of humour. "Since joining the Omnicom family, my career has felt like three distinct chapters: the first being my introduction to agency life at Hearts and Science, the second spent with the wonderful Media Finance crew and the third working on the Apple and McDonald’s teams. It’s certainly been a journey, filled with warm and clever characters, occasional challenges, a lot of laughs, and endless learning. Ten years has flown! I look forward to all the years and memories that are yet to come." We do too, Amelia!
