19.5 million more litres of sewage storage coming 🔜 to our Pakenham Water Recycling Plant. The Pakenham Wet Weather Storage and Pumping Station project will see 2 earthen, concrete-lined lagoon storages built in partnership with Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure, BMD Group, KBR, Inc. (ABK). This upgrade will minimise the risk of sewer spills by enabling the plant to temporarily store excess sewage during wet weather, before returning it to the system when conditions improve. Not only will this strengthen Cardinia Shire Council's sewerage infrastructure, supporting one of Victoria’s fastest growing communities but also protect the environment. The project is set to start in August 2025 with completion expected by October 2026.

  • Building bridges to the future! 🌉 A group of students from Ambrose Treacy College Indooroopilly recently bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience during their visit to our Centenary Bridge Upgrade Project. 🚧👷♂️ Being delivered in joint venture with Georgiou, the Centenary Bridge Upgrade team swung open the gates to welcome the students from the school’s Clontarf Foundation on the project, providing valuable insight into how a bridge is built. Witnessing a concrete pour for one of the 43 metre girders being built on site in the pre-cast yard, students also had the chance to see the gantry cranes in action above the river. As a proud partner of Clontarf Foundation, BMD is passionate about educating young students about the diverse career options available in civil construction. #FutureEngineers #CivilConstruction #BMDProjects #CentenaryBridgeUpgrade #ClontarfAcademy #AmbroseTreacyCollege #InspiringFutureGenerations #PoweringFutures #CreatingLegacies

  • At BMD, we believe in forming partnerships where we can create mutual benefits and long-term impact. BMD has partnered with NLA Trucking, with our collaboration starting in 2022 on the Hall Road Upgrade for Major Road Projects Victoria. Through our partnership, we’re proudly supporting Australia’s only 100% Aboriginal female-owned plant hire business, and three years on our relationship remains strong. With a fleet of over 150 independent contractors, NLA Trucking continues to thrive. Hear from NLA Trucking Owner and Director Nicole, alongside BMD’s Stakeholder Engagement Trainee Owen, as they share the story of our partnership. 🎥 #NLATrucking #BMD #Logistics #Construction #PoweringFutures #CreatingLegacies

  • Mental health matters 🧠 🤝 It was great to have TradeMutt Co-Founder Dan along for a brekky barbecue at one of our SEQ sites recently, talking about the importance of making mental health a more relatable and approachable topic. Last year, BMD became a TradeMutt and TIACS alliance partner to provide greater mental health awareness and support to our teams. On Funky Shirt Fridays, and every day, we encourage our people to speak up, listen, support each other and seek assistance through TIACS when they need it, fostering a culture of openness around mental health at our sites and offices. Thanks Dan for coming along - together we are powering a more sustainable future for our people and our industry. #PowerOfBMD #TeamBMD #PoweringFutures #CreatingLegacies #PowerOfBMD #Trademutt #TIACS
