Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the CHATA Q1 Membership Meeting 2025. It was an event filled with valuable insights, forward-thinking discussions, and meaningful reflections on the direction of our tourism industry. We had the honor of welcoming Mrs. Ronella Croes, CEO of Aruba Tourism Authority, as a special guest speaker. Her presentation clearly outlined the maturity stage of Aruba’s tourism industry and offered a compelling comparison to Curaçao’s current development phase. It sparked important conversations about the role of strategic planning and sustainable growth as we continue shaping our own path. Congratulations to Anuschka M. Cova and the CHATA team for curating such a high-quality lineup. The macroeconomic perspective shared by Mr. Richard Doornbosch of the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten shed light on the broader impact of tourism on our economy and sustainability efforts. Mr. Humberto de Castro of the Curaçao Ports Authority also delivered a thorough and informative update on cruise tourism and its future outlook. I'm also proud to share that Kayenne Caribbean Consultancy has officially joined CHATA as a member for 2025, excited for the journey ahead and the opportunity to contribute to a more connected, sustainable tourism ecosystem. #CHATA #TourismDevelopment #SustainableTourism #Curaçao #Aruba #MacroEconomics #CruiseTourism #CHATA2025 #Networking #HospitalityLeadership #curacaoairbnb #propertymanagement #meo
