🌟 Kicking Off 2025 in Style! 🇨🇼✨ CHATA hosted a successful reception at the Curaçao Maritime Museum, bringing together over 140 key industry leaders, stakeholders, and government officials to celebrate Curaçao’s record-breaking year in tourism and set the stage for sustainable growth in 2025! 💡 2024 in numbers: ✔️ 700K stayover visitors ✔️ 800 K + cruise visitors ✔️ 2M airport passengers ✔️ 19% growth in RevPAR ✔️ Tourism = 48% of Curaçao’s GDP CHATA CEO Anuschka Cova celebrated these achievements but warned that sustainable growth requires action now. “We must protect what makes Curaçao unique—our people, product quality, and authenticity—while ensuring long-term success. The time to think about sustainability is now!” Chairwoman Mimi Luttge, Minister of Economic Development Charles Cooper, and Director Muryad de Bruijn of CTB echoed this message, emphasizing the importance of strategic collaboration to secure the future of Curaçao’s tourism industry. Last week, CHATA proudly represented the hospitality sector during a panel at the mini-seminar hosted by the Association of Dutch Caribbean Economists. The event spotlighted the economic outlook for Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and Aruba, offering valuable insights into sustainable growth and innovative tourism strategies. With 700,000 stay-over tourists recorded in December 2024 and a 19% RevPAR growth compared to 2023, Curaçao tourism continues to drive our economy.  A Triumphant Conclusion to the North America Trade Symposium (NATS) 2024! 🇨🇼   After three inspiring days, we wrapped up the North America Trade Symposium with a memorable dinner at the stunning Cathedral of Thorns. Hosted by Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA), with Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP)as the main sponsor and additional support from Curaçao Tourism Board (CTB), this closing event brought together Ministers, key tourism leaders, and industry partners to celebrate Curaçao’s vibrant tourism sector.   Minister Cooper and Minister Shelton Hato joined us for the evening, showing strong government support for the tourism industry. Guests enjoyed live performances by Junior Tecla and Nelson Braveheart, adding an authentic Curaçao touch to the celebration. Each participant received a goody bag with local souvenirs to remember their time on the island.    Special thanks to our amazing partners: host hotels Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao, Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort, and Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort, as well as FBTT, TMC, Fiesta Tours, and contributions from Lions Dive Beach Resort, Chobolobo, and Chichi.
