TAQA and EWEC have signed a Power Purchase Agreement for 1GW of new advanced Open-Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) generation capacity to meet growing energy demands. TAQA Transmission will develop state-of-the-art infrastructure to integrate the new capacity and seamlessly connect end-users to the Abu Dhabi grid. This will support Masdar and EWEC’s world-first ‘round-the-clock’ giga-project to dispatch 1GW of renewable energy 24/7. With a total investment of AED 36 billion, these transformative projects will provide reliable power with a low carbon footprint, accelerating the UAE’s transition to a cleaner energy future. #TAQA #PoweringaThrivingFuture
