• #3: Digital Transformation is impacting all industries In 2018, analysts highlighted that 1 in 3 organizations had a formal DX initiative. Why? Well by 2022, it is expected that 60% of global GDP will be digitized. Driven by digitally enhanced offerings, operations and relationships, business and IT must transform evolving people, process and technology to better address new markets, new competitors and business models while meeting the new expectations of customers. This is leading to $7 Trillion in IT related spending through 2022. To thrive in the digital economy you must transform!​ 50% of the Global 2000 that existed 20 years ago have either been acquired or are no longer in business. Alternate notes: Traditional Business models are being challenged, and its really about survival, within the last 20 years years we have seen 50% of the global 2000 either been bought out or no longer exist so companies must transform to survive. Customer expectations have changed and they expect more …...New technologies are creating new markets, new competitors and new business models.. To succeed in the digital world, businesses must not only provide superior customer experiences, but deliver on their promises in a faster, more nimble way. Additional supporting notes: By 2022, over 60% of global GDP will be digitized, with growth in every industry driven by digitally-enhanced offerings, operations and relationship -driving almost $7 trillion in IT-related spending from 2019 through 2022. First of all, it's a matter of pure survival. The facts are ominous: 88 percent of Fortune 500 companies in the 1950s no longer exist, and 50 percent of the Global 2000 from just 20 years ago have either been bought out or no longer exist.
• #4: A digital strategy includes IT transformation To meet the pace of transformation needed to stay on top you must have a Digital Strategy that includes IT Transformation. According to IDC, 75% of successful digital strategies will be built on transformed IT organization. Data is the currency that fuels your success. Through IT transformation you can ensure your data and business services it supplies are always available allowing you to meet the pace of business required in digital economy.​ ​ To achieve speed of decisions and innovation you must simplify and modernize. This provides you with the agility needed to maximize the advantages of cloud for IT and business optimization while meeting business requirements for resilience.​ In a recent survey from ESG , 81% of business leaders agree that if they do not embrace IT Transformation, their firm will no longer be competitive in their market. ​ Alternate Notes: A digital strategy must include the transformation of IT and is paramount for transforming & maximizing the business benefits of data assets and technology-focused initiatives in this digital era. Speed, Resilience and agility, are essential components of a successful digital strategy and IT transformation Speed at which a company can move to outpace competitive threats can only be achieved through a modernized and simplified IT. Businesses can’t be rooted in legacy systems and processes. Ultimately you want your teams focused on business-generating activity not on maintaining infrastructure. Resilience with no downtime and data loss ensure a consistent digital experience and minimize the risk of business and brand disruption. IT must ensure there is no downtime and be ready to address any potential disruption Agility : Companies need to leverage cloud to increase agility and react quickly to changing conditions…. And essential for business innovation. • #5: IT Transformation Challenges – Digital has changed Customers expectation – not only your external customers , partners but internal customers and employees…….. with more than 7 billion people and businesses, and at least 30 billion devices, will be connected to the Internet and we all have a high expectation of availability……….. Technology is changing at a phenomenal rate and the complexity of IT has risen dramatically…. Data is growing exponentially (200billion terabytes by 2025) and so workloads have become more diverse, mobile and disparate across different platforms and geographic regions , whether that’s from the edge, the Core or the cloud. All this needs to be connected to deliver a consistent digital customer experience In a recent IDC survey- 50% of companies surveyed have suffered an unrecoverable data event in the last 3 years. Systemic Risk of downtime from disruptions to the business presents a great challenge and puts your brand and reputation at risk. All applications that impacts a customer experience must be protected and available 24/7 to meet today’s expectations from customers
• #6: Transform through IT Resilience A component of IT Transformation is IT resilience which is the ability accelerate your transformation by allowing you to adapt to change without disruption to the business​ IT Resilience allows you to react quickly to unplanned disruptive events and protect during your  planned disruptive events, effectively, accelerating data-oriented business initiatives. IT Resilience is the path to achieving continuous availability of business and IT.​
• #7: IT Resilience Requirements First and fore most IT Resilience must include Close-to-continuous IT and business operations It Is a multi-function converged product segment that has evolved from backup, Disaster Recovery , run book automation, replication, orchestration and others Its scope must include multi data center and multi-cloud mobility and protection And lastly Functionality to include IT operations resilience and cyber attack mitigation to respond quickly to potentially disruptive events in order to sustain business and IT operations

CDP – no agents or snapshots – means low RTO/ RPO and no production slow-down Orchestration & automation built in (nothing manual) Easy failover testing to prove recovery will work when you need it Good story to tell: Ulta Beauty Ulta needed a solution that would give them business continuity as downtime would result in their distribution centers, online processing and loyalty program not being operational Before Zerto: RPO - 24 Hours, RTO - 3 Hours After Zerto RPO - 7 seconds, RTO - Under 5 minutes Woodforest Bank in Texas has one datacenter in a hurricane-prone zone, and the other in a tornado-prone zone. They use Zerto to proactively failover their entire datacenter twice a year, to completely avoid potential natural disasters.

• #19: Pain – expensive resource and slows down innovation, disrupts the business Even deeper benefit: Patch on a recent database is more valuable than an old copy bubble environment Outcome – With Zerto, you get non-disruptive testing of prod workloads in isolated environment with minimal cost or resource Zerto customers have been able to use applications at the DR site to test software upgrades without any impact on their production environments. This is particularly valuable for high change-rate databases and other sensitive applications. Good stories to tell: Charter Communications – their clone / unwind process would take 24 to 36 hrs (using Netapp snaps) to get back to previous state – with Zerto 15 mins They need to create hundreds of test copies to test various updates and features to their infrastructure. Now they can create a copy for recovery site, do any testing they need and then delete – they use the recovery site because it’s up to date and does not overload production with their tests. Used to be hours to test and now can do this any time. Talbots was looking to be able to migrate the Talbots.com website between corporate locations for hardware and network maintenance - Took down talbots.com while they tested the new hardware, recovered with Zerto and started taking new orders from customers within 30 minutes
• #20: Pain – Migrating data is easy, but migrating applications is hard. Outcome – With Zerto, migrations, even of high-change-rate databases is easy: Zerto is the only solution using consistency groups (called Virtual Protection Groups) – this enables our customers to protect applications with all of their dependencies, boot order, re-IPing, etc. for fast recovery that involves no manual configuration. Change-block tracking means that only the unique changed blocks of application data are copied to the DR site, resulting in near-zero Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Good story to tell: Maritz leveraged AWS’ on demand capacity and OPEX model by seamlessly migrating complete workloads to AWS. They relied on Zerto Virtual Replication to automate migration of workloads to AWS. Reduced DR costs by 40% by moving from CAPEX to OPEX.
• #21: Pain – do you trust the cloud? You want to future-proof for cost flexibility down the road, and for peace of mind Outcome – With Zerto moving freely between clouds is easy. • #22: Pain - How can I be sure it’s all protected, even when using many clouds / environments? Outcome - with Zerto Analytics, we provide visibility of protected environment across clouds and hypervisors. It becomes easy to see better / worse performance and then to easily migrate applications to another datacenter or cloud based on the information. Good story to tell: KESA, and insurance carrier in the US, moved DR testing and reporting from a full weekend with all hands on deck - to 30 minutes during regular working hours. Now they test DR once a month.
