Oracle HCM Cloud uses human workflow automation to route approval tasks through a predefined sequence. It controls workflows for processes like hiring and promotions. Users can define simple or complex task routing policies. The system is integrated with HCM to determine approvers based on factors like supervision hierarchy, responsibilities, and job level. Workflows allow humans to interact with processes, such as approving purchases. They provide full task lifecycle management including rerouting, escalating, and setting deadlines. An example transfer workflow is configured to require approval from a user if the employee's current salary is over $9,000 and in the sales department. Workflows integrate with personnel records to update status.

Oracle HCM Cloud Approval management is based on human workflow to automate tasks from one user or an application to another user for actions. Fusion HCM Workflows are routed in a predefined sequence to achieve an
end result based on the initial configuration of the human workflow. broadly approval management falls under 3 points:
1-Controls workflows for business processes such as hiring an employee or managing promotions.
2-Enables you to define task routing policies that can be as simple or as complex as needed.
3-it is fully integrated with HCM to derive approvers based on the supervisory hierarchy, areas of responsibility (such as HR or Benefit Representatives) and other criteria, such as job levels.
Human Workflow: Human Workflow is the component of Oracle’s SOA suite that allows humans to interact with a process. For example a manager might need to approve a purchase order or an expense report prior to the
transaction (issuing a purchase order or reimbursement of expenses) being completed or perhaps to reassign a task they are un able to complete. In addition to allowing users of an application to interact with its processes, the
capabilities of the Human Workflow include full task lifecycle management through the ability to reroute tasks, escalate them, and providing deadlines by which they must be completed, in addition to the presentation of tasks to
the concerned user through the BPM Worklist application or other channels such as email.
Now lets take an example with step-by-step actions, we will transfer employee.
Go To > Navigator > Setup and Maintenance
Click on Manage Approval transactions for Human Capital Management and “Search”

Here you can see all the standard approval transactions are showing, chose the process name on which you want to work. For example we will take “Transfer”.
Click on “Configure” for “Transfer” workflow.
And you landed into “Process Composer” this is your whole world to manage, configure, setup Workflows in Oracle HCM Cloud. It’s the GUI for all workflow related tasks

Now let’s check the rule of “TransferRule” click on it and you will see below another part will start showing you the details of the rule.

You can see one rule is already configure that requesters assignment department should be “Sales West US”.
Now we are going to add another rule, select the rule and click +AND Button. Then click on AND and select +ADD Expression from top menu.

Click on Select Attribute. Choose a task load variable we will choose Salary Details -> Current Annual Salary

Select the >= sign and then choose a value which I have picked 9000.

Press Ok and now you can see 2 rules: like this:

Now let’s click on Management Hierarchy and see the configuration:

Click the + Representative to add the user to the workflow

Click on the Representative box that’s now added to the workflow.
Now we will Click the +Users button to add a user to this workflow:

Select the “Users”
Now lets do the transactions, what will happen actually after our update:
Go to “My Team” and “Brian Joseph” our selected employee. And click on ACTIONS and chose your “Transfer” action:

Review page and you can go to Worklist notifications and check the notification status. after this you can go to Betty Anderson status (go back to Person Management) and the new business unit is showing as per our new
transfer.

What if product-market fit isn't enough? We’ve all encountered companies willing to spend time and resources on product-market fit, since any solution needs to solve a problem for people able and willing to pay to solve that problem, but assuming that user experience can be “added” later. Similarly, value proposition-what a solution does and why it’s better than what’s already there-has a valued place in product development, but it assumes that the product will automatically be something that people can use successfully, or that an MVP can be transformed into something that people can be successful with after the fact. This can require expensive rework, and sometimes stops product development entirely; again, UX professionals are deeply familiar with this problem. Solutions with solid product-behavior fit, on the other hand, ask people to do tasks that they are willing and equipped to do successfully, from purchasing to using to supervising. Framing research as developing product-behavior fit implicitly positions it as overlapping with product-market fit development and supports articulating the cost of neglecting, and ROI on supporting, user experience. In this talk, I’ll introduce product-behavior fit as a concept and a process and walk through the steps of improving product-behavior fit, how it integrates with product-market fit development, and how they can be modified for products at different stages in development, as well as how this framing can articulate the ROI of developing user experience in a product development context.

RAUC is a widely used open-source solution for robust and secure software updates on embedded Linux devices. In 2020, the Yocto/OpenEmbedded layer meta-rauc-community was created to provide demo RAUC integrations for a variety of popular development boards. The goal was to support the embedded Linux community by offering practical, working examples of RAUC in action - helping developers get started quickly. Since its inception, the layer has tracked and supported the Long Term Support (LTS) releases of the Yocto Project, including Dunfell (April 2020), Kirkstone (April 2022), and Scarthgap (April 2024), alongside active development in the main branch. Structured as a collection of layers tailored to different machine configurations, meta-rauc-community has delivered demo integrations for a wide variety of boards, utilizing their respective BSP layers. These include widely used platforms such as the Raspberry Pi, NXP i.MX6 and i.MX8, Rockchip, Allwinner, STM32MP, and NVIDIA Tegra. Five years into the project, a significant refactoring effort was launched to address increasing duplication and divergence in the layer’s codebase. The new direction involves consolidating shared logic into a dedicated meta-rauc-community base layer, which will serve as the foundation for all supported machines. This centralization reduces redundancy, simplifies maintenance, and ensures a more sustainable development process. The ongoing work, currently taking place in the main branch, targets readiness for the upcoming Yocto Project release codenamed Wrynose (expected in 2026). Beyond reducing technical debt, the refactoring will introduce unified testing procedures and streamlined porting guidelines. These enhancements are designed to improve overall consistency across supported hardware platforms and make it easier for contributors and users to extend RAUC support to new machines.
