Audit Google Analytics regularly. Good Analytics data provides the actionable framework to build business logic and make the smartest marketing decisions. Quality Assurance testing is essential to good data. Provide a sensible dashboard for this intelligence, and speak knowledgeably about revenue, with verifiable facts and trends. Speaking the language of business is something that your customer (likely an E-Com manager, or Operations Executive, or Product manager), will understand and appreciate. These business people cannot operate profitable websites blindly (at least, not for long)! Give them the data they need to gain insights to inform decisions.
Audit with breadth (sitewide tag survey) and depth (filters, tags, segments). Audit frequently. Remember, any time a developer makes a change, or a content writer edits copy, or an E-Com manager adds new products, the Analytics is subject to change and therefore, verification.

Migration in the current and future EU demography - Statistical facts and too...Giampaolo Lanzieri
Giampaolo Lanzieri from Eurostat presented statistical facts and tools for monitoring preparedness for demographic changes in the EU. He showed that migration has overtaken natural population change as the main driver of population growth in the EU. By 2050, migration could increase the total EU population by over 50 million people compared to without migration. However, EU populations are also aging rapidly. Lanzieri discussed challenges like population decline, aging, and integration and presented indicators and tools like the Active Aging Index and Migrant Integration Policy Index that can help monitor preparedness for these challenges. He proposed that combining different indicators could provide an aggregated measure of preparedness across member states.
This document summarizes key demographic trends in Australia and their policy implications. It notes that Australia's population is highly urbanized and concentrated in capital cities. While population growth is currently strong at 1.4% annually, growth is projected to slow to around 1% by 2050. Regional and rural areas continue to experience population declines as younger residents move to cities. Australia is also becoming increasingly ethnically diverse. The aging population structure raises issues around healthcare, pensions, and age-related services. Understanding demographic trends is important for informed policymaking that plans for the future size, distribution, and needs of the population.

Even if you have terabytes of business data, it might not be easy to apply AI-based analytics to it. The bottleneck is often Machine Learning (ML) expertise and scalable infrastructure.
We'll first look at how you can access vast amounts of data from the data warehouse directly in a Google Sheet. Then, you'll see how it's possible to train custom ML models with that data, without ever leaving the spreadsheet.

Could Virtual Threads cast away the usage of Kotlin Coroutines - DevoxxUK2025João Esperancinha
This is an updated version of the original presentation I did at the LJC in 2024 at the Couchbase offices. This version, tailored for DevoxxUK 2025, explores all of what the original one did, with some extras. How do Virtual Threads can potentially affect the development of resilient services? If you are implementing services in the JVM, odds are that you are using the Spring Framework. As the development of possibilities for the JVM continues, Spring is constantly evolving with it. This presentation was created to spark that discussion and makes us reflect about out available options so that we can do our best to make the best decisions going forward. As an extra, this presentation talks about connecting to databases with JPA or JDBC, what exactly plays in when working with Java Virtual Threads and where they are still limited, what happens with reactive services when using WebFlux alone or in combination with Java Virtual Threads and finally a quick run through Thread Pinning and why it might be irrelevant for the JDK24.
