Abstract: In this Paper, Analysis of channel codes for improving the data rate and reliability of communication over fading channels using multiple transmit antennas has been considered. The codes, namely ’Space Time Codes’ render full diversity and amend coding gain. Performance criteria for designing such codes, under this assumption that the fading is slow and nonselective frequency, is also analysed.
