About us
WHAMglobal forms networks of advocates and experts in women’s health and wellness to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes, equity, and leadership. WHAMglobal inspires regional, national, and international advocacy and action to advance women’s health, safety and quality, women’s position within the health workforce, and pay equity. WHAMglobal is on a mission to identify the root causes of maternal mortality and better understand how we support and care for moms and families through the entirety of their care. The initiative is focused on learning best practices and identifying partners from the Pittsburgh region, other states, and across the globe. The initiative also aims to explore global models of maternity care in order to identify how to advocate and gather networks to lift up the things that are working and change the things that aren’t.
