"Using these recommendations, providers can reduce unnecessary barriers to contraception access and use." For Contemporary OB/GYN, Celeste Krewson looks at the CDC's updated contraception guidelines on topics like addressing IUD insertion pain, bleeding irregularities with implant use, testosterone use and the risk for pregnancy, and self-administration of injectables. With user-centered care core to many of these recommendations, it's easy to see a link to user-centered design and development. #Contraception #Contraceptive #FamilyPlanning #FP #SexualAndReproductiveHealth #SRH #SexualAndReproductiveHealthAndRights #SRHR https://lnkd.in/gmFN2nPn

The focus on women's health continues to drive important conversations. One hot topic is the pain and discomfort associated with IUD insertion. Recent decisions from a Planned Parenthood location in the US have made headlines that continue to keep this topic top-of-mind. https://lnkd.in/g2q_B_MW Our Canadian OBGyns are committed to advancing contraception offerings in Canada and continue to focus on best options and how to improve the experience moving forward. We look forward to a future where IUD insertion becomes more manageable for Canadian patients. #womenshealth #contraception #IUD #IUDpainmanagement #beinformed #newIUDoptions #IUDinnovations #IUDpain #IUDprogress

Therefore, we have designed the learning to make the most of the time that you have available. Preparation tasks are based on a self-assessment of your needs. Following the workshop there is an option to attend a support webinar with Kirsty Armstrong who leads the service for NHS England and Alastair Buxton of Community Pharmacy England. Two other community pharmacists and I who deliver the service will also be there to answer questions. The workshop part of this learning will be hosted by Penny Mosley, and I will be attending as speaker for the event".
