Awesome experience for our students!
Last week the J.B. Hunt Transport Department of Supply Chain Management at the University of Arkansas had the pleasure of participating in an intermodal case competition at the University of North Florida - Coggin College of Business. I wanted to thank everyone at the university who put the event together. What a great experience for the students! A special shout out to Crowley Marine Services, Inc. who gave a first class tour of their JAX port facilities and their multipurpose vessel El Coqui. Much appreciation for the crew taking time to answer our questions and explain how the vessel operates. The supply chain really comes to life when you are standing on a ship, speaking with the professionals who make it happen everyday. Isabelle Artnak, DeVante Daniels, Noah Elstermeier, and MaKenna Prime; thank you for your hard work and creativity during the competition. It was great getting to know you all better. I have no doubt you all have amazing careers in front of you. Finally, well done California State University Maritime Academy. You got us this time, but we are coming for you next year!
