Steven Butel of our PFAS Solutions team will share breakthroughs in PFAS destruction during a networking reception Thursday, April 24, as part of the AATCC’s Building a New Method Forward for PFAS in Textiles Conference in Raleigh, NC. Steven will discuss a recently conducted on-site demonstration pilot using Olift™, our ozone foam fractionation PFAS removal and concentration technology, and Obreak™, our PFAS electro-oxidation destruction technology, on landfill leachate. The test was conducted over a six-week period. Samples are now being analyzed by a third-party accredited laboratory. 🏆 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗹-𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 Ovivo successfully delivered a fully containerized FilterBoxx™ wastewater treatment system with a capacity of 300 GPM to a coal-fired power plant. The FilterBoxx™ system was designed to meet the plant's specific water treatment needs. 🌊💧 Our solution incorporated 5-micron and 1-micron filtration to optimize TSS removal and extend the life of cartridge filters. Activated carbon beds effectively managed organics and algae in the cooling pond, maintaining the system's efficiency. In addition, single-use ion exchange resins were used to target the removal of hexavalent chromium (Cr₆⁺) and molybdenum ions, eliminating the need for handling regeneration chemicals or disposing of spent solutions on-site.
