Thank you so much to LMA Mid-Atlantic Region's Virginias for inviting me to speak and to Liz Coleman for teaming up with me to present Level Up: Strategies for Professional Growth and Career Advancement. Take charge of your career and be proactive. ↗️ Set SMART goals to stay on track (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound). Share your intentions with others to stay accountable. ↗️Close your gaps. Identify the skills you need to gain or improve and set a plan to work on it. ↗️Enlist the help of others. Ask for feedback, find a mentor, or hire a coach. ↗️Develop a personal elevator pitch. Define your personal brand and what you want to be known for. ↗️Advocate for yourself. Share your goals and ask what it will take to get there. Negotiate. And seek opportunities to shadow and learn. ↗️Network with purpose and build connections.
