This holiday season was really special for me as I was together with my family : my mother, father, husband, and son, we were all together in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My journey from India to the United States started in 2000 and Boston was my port of entry. Our son was born here in this great city of Boston. For welcoming me to the country and for the city and state of Massachusetts, which taught me so much, I will forever be grateful. This holiday season was a reminder of all the years of being in community in this country: Alabama, California, New Jersey, Massachusetts and serving in the communities we lived and worked. Our family was fortunate for the love, friendship, and colleagueship. As we assimilate in Cambridge, a community where we live and work now, I wish to express my gratitude for my family and my community.
