Social Accountability (SA 8000) and Community Management

As par of my Graduate Development Program in Eco Services, stakeholder engagement is  a very important learning  and development course. In  order to implement  environment and social management and monitoring programs in Eco Services, we have to get the consent from stakeholders, establish the context  as part of risk management, liaise with the people in order to get their emotional intelligence. Therefore it is very important for one as worthy researchers to put him or her self into someone else's shoe in order to get what you  he or she wants.

Thus, “Bringing a smile to the community creates customer affection which, in turn, ensures long-term sustainability”. Stakeholder engagement and social accountability can be seen very vital in project impacted communities in PNG needs   auditable standard   to be set out voluntarily   as a verification system   to be used by community management   systems.

Therefore, social accountability (SA 8000) is the standard to be used in an organization as a way forward to achieve corporate social responsibility. Once it is embedded in the business planning process, than it would be effective at a corporate level for a responsible sustainable development in   Papua New Guinea.
