Reduce the Noise; Increase the Peace

Reduce the Noise; Increase the Peace

It is so noisy outside! I am not talking about planes, trains and automobiles. I am talking about the distractions that keep us from our inner peace and light; stunting our growth as humans. This noise comes at us from all angles. Social Media, television, music, podcasts, ads, ads, ads, everyone is trying to tell us what to buy, how to act, what to do. The problem is once we allow the noise inside, we become susceptible to moving and doing that which is not inherent to our uniqueness. This is an issue. When we unpack our true self and live that in the world, our sense of fulfillment increases and we live in place of peace with ourselves and the world. Look around. What do you see? I see a deficit of self awareness and self identity, thus there is a lot of misery out there. So how do we try and take it back? I recommend two major initiatives:

1. Time management. Create your own work/life balance. Make sure you include at least 2-hours a day for you. Excercise, reflect, pray, and journal are all activities that each person should encorporate in their day.

2. Shut off the distractions. If you work outside the home, use your drive home to release the day and transition to you time. If you work in the home, make an appointment with you outside the home. This is not only good for your mental focus, but your overall health and wellness as well.

Being able to juggle everything can be completely overwhelming, but by shutting off the noise and the distraction, you will find extra time. Everything has its place, don’t sacrifice you for the sake of everything else. You are important and valuable! Be the CEO of your life. Choosing to shut off the noise is a human thing!
