I started my research career as an In-House Clinical Research Associate in Early Development & Clinical Pharmacology. I loved the fast-paced environment and working on First-In-Human studies as well as Phase I Oncology. It did not take long before I knew I wanted to grow and take on more responsibility within the study team. As I pondered my potential and desired growth, I determined I had a passion for the Clinical Team Manager role. Working alongside the team and with sites to provide support and local guidance was my forte. I did well in the role, and about two years in, I was looking to do more. 

I was not complacent, but I felt that I should learn all I could about the role, the programs, the systems; and I did just that. I started to look at the next rung of the ladder and worked to decide my path. I knew a lot about research, and had become a good trainer, so I tried my hand at management, Operations Management to be exact. It was love at first try! I became an Operations Manager working with Clinical Team Managers and the Contract & Compliance Services group. I learned new roles and grew my leadership ability. I developed great communication skills and cared deeply for my team. I knew being a manager was the place for me. 

Because of my leadership skills, my investment in my teams, and the performance I put forth, I was never more excited to be offered a Sub-Regional Lead role on the program. In this new role, I would be a manager of managers and work to lead the team from this oversight. To say I was excited is an understatement!

Here I am today, Director of Clinical Operations, where I oversee managers and flex staff within Late Development. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with my role, my team, and my ICON! This is my home! I have never experienced any company like ICON. A company that truly cares what you want in your career and helps you get there.
