Joint Ventures in Taiwan Offshore Wind

On 7 November, I spoke at the 2nd Taiwan Offshore Wind Energy Summit 2018 on Making Matches Work: Joint Ventures and Cooperative Arrangements in Taiwan. I explored key distinctions between a separately incorporated joint venture company and a joint venture contract. I also highlighted some of the changes brought by the recently amended Taiwan Company Act, and discussed implications of "long-term" preparatory offices, standard in Taiwan's offshore wind industry but not in other businesses.
