Day 5 of the #IkigaiChallenge – Energy Source
Hitting the gym in the morning makes me feel healthy and ready to tackle the day! Since I often spend hours in front of a laptop, getting my blood flowing is essential. Plus, it gives me the strength to play with my boys—Luke, who’s almost 4 and already half my weight, keeps me on my toes!
A successful meeting or film day also energises me. Knowing everything went well and seeing a happy client just fuels my motivation for the next task.
In the evenings, nothing beats playing outside with the family. Kicking a ball, playing pretend, or simply hearing the boys laugh helps me forget about work. Even Sparkles, our Chihuahua, joins in, chasing soccer balls and hunting down Nerf gun bullets. Watching Ivan laugh from his stomach during playtime is priceless. It’s chaos, but I love it!
A well-planned day also energises me. Sometimes, I get these bursts of energy that make it hard to sit still, and Luke adores it when this happens!
What gives you energy to take on the day?
Great post Madeleine McCreanor. Always good to see the family involved. Such an NB aspect!
