Children don't go outside

Children don't go outside

Have you played outdoor games like Ice-Water, Kanamachi, Gollachut and others? Oh, great. The people of our generation loved to play outdoor games. Do you feel that the world had massive change??? We loved to play outdoor games but children of today love to play indoor games. They don’t like to go outside.

Playing outdoor games was like our addiction. We became crazy to go to the playground at afternoon. Many of us got punished for passing more time on playing. If I might late from playground means after magrib, I usually entered into the house very carefully in order to that my father can’t know it. Do you have hot tempered father????? Put all together, you will get my father.

Sometimes I was late and got into my father’s eye and as a result I got the great love from him. Playing outside, getting muddy, climbing tree, catching fish, playing football during rain and swimming in the pond altogether after the match. That was our childhood.

But childhood of new generation is quite different. They also play games but in android phone, tab, iPad or in the PC. They are so active in the social media and the activity has reached to the addiction level. They don’t like to go outside. But they need to do it as it has great benefits.

1. Great Learning

Playing outdoor games can be a brilliant way to enhance learning abilities in kids. They may learn important life lessons and skills, develop a problem-solving attitude, get to explore nature, acquire new information and an elementary understanding of science. Moreover, it is learning done through play which can be the best form of learning.

2. Healthy Physical Development

Outdoor play keeps kids active and provides a means to increase their physical stamina and fitness, strengthen their muscles and bones, build immunity, lower the risk of many diseases like diabetes, heart problems, obesity and promote overall better health. Being in the fresh air and sunshine can naturally provide them with the essential vitamin D whose deficiency may cause Rickets. Being exposed to electronic gadgets for long durations can impair a kid’s vision. Outdoor play has proven to improve a child’s overall eyesight.

3. Acquire Social Skills & Personality Development

Kids may learn to interact effectively with other kids while playing outdoor games in contrast to kids who remain indoors and often become isolated and withdrawn. They may be forced to give up their shells, approach different children, make new friends, take turns to play without adult supervision thereby acquiring social and communication skill in the bargain.

4. Love for Nature

Kids who spend considerable time outdoors may be more inclined to establish a lifelong bond with nature. They may become conscious of the environmental issues like global warming, deforestation, animal conservation and take steps for preserving the nature.

5. Healthier Lifestyles

Kids who productively involve in outdoor games are more likely to lead a well- balanced and healthy lifestyle later in their adulthood. They have good decision-making abilities. They learn to challenge themselves and push their limitations thus becoming better at risk assessment.

Parents should make them interested to go outside and get experienced with many new things. They need to be a healthy, having more knowledge, social and smart than our generation in order to hold the steering of development. If they can come reach that level and develop themselves more than our expectation, as a result we can get a beautiful world.
