Changing the world takes more than just software 😉

Changing the world takes more than just software 😉

From celebrating the trailblazers of intelligent connected hardware to diving deep into cutting-edge manufacturing and logistics, this month’s newsletter is all about in-person events.

The HardTech Awards are in full swing, we’re teaming up with Ember Prototypes to explore the latest in 3D printing and digital fabrication, and we're bringing our first-ever HardTech Forum to San Francisco.

With a calendar this packed, we might need to start prototyping our own event app (watch out, Luma!). We’re thrilled that we are gaining momentum in live community building, and hope to see you somewhere in North America soon.

Nominations are open for the 4th annual HardTech Awards 🏆

Formerly known as The Misties, MistyWest and Memfault are recognizing the engineers, designers, and visionaries who are driving real-world impact through commercialized hardware innovation.

These awards are not for the Elon Musks of the world, but the Tom Muellers–the technically excellent, brilliant behind-the-scenes brains who don’t get enough of the accolades they deserve.

Vancouver Hardware Meetup's recent event on The Tech Driving Modern Logistics

Last week we were joined by Adam Nori , Chonchol Gupta , Kevin A. Damoa and Mark Roth for a Vancouver Hardware Meetup panel discussion on the tech driving modern logistics.

We touched on topics like the lack of visibility between companies and their Tier 3 suppliers, the evolution of SKUs to unique identifiers that track a piece of apparel's journey from production to inventory, and the impact of automation on labor.

We thank everyone who came to this meetup–and you can expect some changes to our events in the coming months 🦋
