Brand integration done right.

Brand integration done right.

WOW, lately every single brand out there wants to be associated with Star Wars and for a good reason. Though very few have actually found creative ways that don’t feel contrived or just plain hard to believe.
I (born and raised Mexican) was watching last night TV with my wife (born and raised American) and this spot came on. We both found it funny and engaging but surprisingly for different reasons. She connected to the simplicity of children cutely making up names when they don’t know them and myself with the fact that the little Hispanic kid calls R2D2 "Arturito" which is a cute/lovey way of saying Arturo. Imagine someone named Frank and called Frankie.
If you are from any Spanish speaking country I bet you are going to relate to this and from what I take pretty much everyone else will.
Campbell's and their agency BBDO have managed to create an endearing, memorable and fun campaign that is engaging and shows more than one insight into its consumers and the brands they partner with.

Now, as far as brand integration, in my opinion, Campbell’s and Jeep have been the best capture and stay true to their essence as a brand and marrying it nicely to the Star Wars franchise.
Kudos to them and their agencies...they all get a "I wish I did it"
