Our Beauty 2025 State of Influence interactive report is now live - it reveals the critical shifts shaping Skincare, Makeup, and Fragrance and the strategies and trends fuelling sustained impact.

The beauty industry is evolving rapidly:

  • Skincare is accelerating in EMV (+38% YoY), but Resonance is declining (-6%), signalling a shift from awareness to deeper consumer loyalty.
  • Fragrance is growing too (+46% YoY in Engagements), indicating rising consumer momentum and greater impact potential for 2025.
  • Makeup faces an engagement slump, with a 10% drop in Mentions and 7% decline in Virality winning brands are leveraging founder influence, cultural moments, and community-driven storytelling.

Across some of the world's top-performing beauty brands, influential voices have collectively reached 26 times more consumers, generated 19 times higher EMV, produced 73 times more content, and driven 83 times greater Engagement.

Parfums Christian Dior and Jo Malone London lead in influence, but Killian and Diptyque Paris generate a more concentrated Ripple Impact.

💄 Makeup Brands:

SEPHORA leads in EMV, impressions, mentions, and engagements, thanks to its strategic partnerships with trendy celebrity-owned brands like Fenty Beauty and Rare Beauty .

SEPHORA and L'Oréal generated the largest Global Ripple Impact. Influential accounts generated a vast majority (89%) of SEPHORA ’s Global Ripple Impact across Engagements compared to brand-owned accounts (11%). For L'Oréal , influential accounts generated even more, 93%, with brand-owned accounts contributing only 7%.

🧴 Skincare Brands:

GARNIER CLUB is excelling across EMV, impressions, mentions and engagements; driven by its appeal to Gen Z and its affordable skincare alternatives amidst the rise of dupes.

Alongside GARNIER CLUB , Cerave , and La Roche-Posay Laboratoire Dermatologique lead the skincare category in influencer-driven impact, leveraging an ingredient-focused approach to resonate with consumers.

🌸 Fragrance Brands:

Parfums Christian Dior tops the charts in EMV, mentions, engagements and community size, with Jo Malone London following closely in key metrics.

While luxury brands lead in EMV, emerging, new-age brands drive the conversation and buzz.
