April Newsletter: Three Newsletters and One Showcase Page - Lessons Learned

When we began the Microsoft Speakers Hub the idea was to showcase others and become a platform for collaboration. Through growing our following, we have done that!

A Restaurant vs A Product in Many Restaurants in a Food Court

Imagine you are a restaurant. You have to attract people to your individual restaurant and maintain your menu. Imagine you sell only sandwiches - you might know something about a lot of different sandwiches but if you are known and people keep buying your Italian Beef sandwich (a Chicago thing), you probably make more of those than anything else.

Now what if you could showcase sandwiches from several different restaurants? A good food court at a physical location like a mall or a strip mall worth several restaurants does just that! The power of collaboration!

We started this to avoid exclusively to showcase others that weren't able to make the show because of time zone, day of the week or any other conflict, but that are still interested in contributing!

Franchise vs More Stores or Supermarket

Imagine now if you expand your food court empire. You get bigger, have more places and get more popularity, but what if you sold your sandwiches through any store or a Supermarket or several supermarkets and convenience stores?
