Grab a pencil and paper, let's do an exercise. Brainstorm. List out at least 20 values that you live by that come into your head. (They might include honesty, health, family, money, fun, creativity, environment, chocolate 😊 .... keep going!) Group. Now that you have your value list, go through that list and group the ones that are related into 7 groups. (For example honesty and integrity are sort of the same thing.) Find the Keystones. Look at each group. What is the one word or phrase that can encompass all the values within that group? (For example a group with the values Honesty, Integrity, Openness, Trustworthy can become "Authenticity".)— These seven groups are your Keystone Values. They are the main personal values you operate from on a daily basis. Create Value Statements. Think about how those Keystone Values will determine how you operate your business. (Authenticity — Authentic and Open Communication ) The fancy wording for your official Value Statements can come later. The key here is narrowing down how you will set your sails for your vision, and your goals. These will serve as a check points for you—and for anyone that may work for you—to ensure your business and your Visual Identity (or brand) remains aligned with your Keystone Values. #wonderlust #design #corevalues #webdesign #brandcreator #brandexperience

VALUES ARE BRAND NAVIGATORS. How will YOU set your sails? ⛵ 😊 Values are key to understanding the overall direction of a brand strategy. I do this exercise with every client. It is super helpful in narrowing in on your core (or keystone) values.

Design is a multi-layered process. It's about the entire end product / response: 🕶️ the look captures the attention and gives the initial impression. 🎉 the emotions it can evoke such as trust, joy, curiosity, or excitement. 🧨 the action it can prompt, such as clicking on a link or making a purchase. 💡it represents the personality, uniqueness, and professionalism of your brand / business. Design communicates your message to your potential clients, leaving a lasting impression and building meaningful connections that drive business growth. #DesignMatters #BrandIdentity #VisualCommunication #CreativeExpression #createyourspaceontheweb

If there’s one thing we love more than anything, it’s getting into the weeds with our clients: ✅ We want to know your origin story ✅ We want to hear what you love about your mood board ✅ We want to know why you started your company in the first place ✅ We want to understand what makes your target audience tick And if getting into the weeds or sharing every little thought that pops into your mind feels like a waste of time? We say think again. Because the best design ideas often start out as concepts or little blurbs that have been living in your brain rent-free. In fact, we hear “not sure if this is important or not” before getting gifted an answer that can change a brand’s trajectory or look and feel of a project. But if you never share those tidbits with your design team or you simply stick to what you know (or what everyone in your industry thinks is trendy)... You probably don’t have a brand. You just have a business.

How an Alarm Clock Inspired My New Year Design When I set out to create a New Year design for my brand, I knew one thing: I didn’t want the usual fireworks, glitter, or time showing 12. I wanted something unique—something that captured the significance of the New Year in a fresh way. I began brainstorming keywords: fresh starts, new opportunities, time, growth… and that’s when it hit me—a clock. But not the traditional kind. I wanted something that felt more alive, more intentional. That’s when I thought, why not an alarm clock? An alarm clock is more than just time ticking away; it’s a wake-up call. It symbolizes action, readiness, and the courage to step into new beginnings. That idea became the centerpiece of my design—a minimal yet powerful visual that resonated with my brand’s message and connected with my audience in unexpected ways. This experience reminded me that creativity often lies in reimagining the familiar. Sometimes, the simplest shift in perspective can lead to something truly impactful. What inspires your New Year creativity? #DesignInspiration #Creativity #GraphicDesign #NewYear #Storytelling
