Memphis’s Medical District Park has a new monument honouring the unseen labour of caregiving. “Monuments to Motherhood” is a trio of bronze sculptures by Molly Gochman designed to create moments of connection. The sculptures' open, looping forms invite rest, play, and reflection. Over time, the bronze surfaces will evolve, touched by weather and by those who engage with them—a living record of human connection. Bringing these sculptures to life was a process as intricate as the labour they honour. Molly's maquettes were transformed into full-scale bronze forms in our New York workshop, refined through digital modelling, casting, welding, and patination.
