From the design studio to the factory floor, we work across all aspects of the creative process, from commissioning and curatorial services, concept development, and design assistance to engineering, fabrication, and installation. With an ingrained culture of collaboration, our diverse team of creative specialists, strategists and practitioners share an enduring vision for the future. By pairing exceptional strategies and manufacturing capabilities with our team’s unrivalled dedication to excellence, we ensure that our generation creates timeless and relevant objects, ideas, and places that will inspire and connect people for generations to come. Karma approached UAP to help bring Woody De Othello’s evocative vision to life for Tuning the Dial, an immersive exhibition in LA. Through refining high-resolution scans, producing PMMA patterns and raw casts, and collaborating with The Big New (TBN) on finishing and patination, we helped shape Othello’s striking bronze sculptures. This marks our second collaboration with TBN. See the exhibition at Karma LA until April 5. A great day of learning, dialogue, and inspiration with New York University Abu Dhabi MFA students! This week, our team had the pleasure of delivering a workshop exploring public art's history and evolving role, from commissioning processes to material and place-making considerations, particularly within the growing GCC art landscape. This marks our first collaboration with New York University Abu Dhabi, which was made possible by Dr. Tina Sherwell, co-director of the MFA program. Thank you to all the students who participated and to our team members, Dr Chetana Andary and Oliver Farrell, for leading the session. If you are interested in hosting a similar session or exploring collaboration opportunities, please feel free to reach out—we would love to connect. #UAP #UrbanArtProjects #PublicArt #NYUAD #Workshop #GCCArts #CreativeCollaboration #ArtsEducation #ArtInTheGCC #GuestLecture

Amid the bustling streets of Central Hong Kong, 'The Breathing Tree' by Ned Kahn and curated by Alison Pickett offers a rare moment of stillness. Standing 6.8 meters tall, the kinetic sculpture comes to life with air, water, and movement. Its 140 branches sway with the wind, casting fluid shadows, while mist and rain veil the city's edges, creating a serene escape beneath Zaha Hadid Architects' striking The Henderson building. Every hour, from 8 AM to 11:30 PM, the sculpture transforms—unfolding in a rhythmic sequence of mist, cascading rain, and a swirling water vortex. Powered by a complex system of underground mechanics, the piece responds to shifting wind patterns, humidity, and light, making each viewing a unique experience. Explore how this mesmerizing installation brings nature's quiet power into the heart of the city. https://bit.ly/3RjAdmA #NedKahn #TheBreathingTree #AlisonPickett #uap #urbanartprojects #incrediblethings #KineticSculpture #PublicArt #ArtAndNature #HongKongArt #ZahaHadidArchitects #UrbanOasis #EnvironmentalArt #ArtInMotion #SculptureInMotion #ContemporaryArt #NatureInspired #KineticArt #ArtAndEngineering #UrbanArt #ArtInPublicSpaces

We’re used to seeing labels on food, medicine, or clothing—but rarely on bespoke products like sculptures. An ingredient list offers transparency: it reveals a work’s origins, materials, carbon footprint, and how to handle it at end-of-life—whether through repair, reuse, recycling, or return. In collaboration with Griffith University, Future Normal, and Carbon Footprint Ltd, we developed the Artwork Ingredient List (AIL). This initiative brings transparency to public art by tracking materials, labour, energy use, and emissions. Like a nutrition label, it helps artists and clients make more informed, sustainable decisions. AIL was central to A Feral Commons, a global co-commission initiative by Alserkal Advisory, in collaboration with Global Cultural Districts Network (GCDN), curated by Tairone Bastien and presented in Kingston, Jamaica, Johannesburg, South Africa, and Dubai in the UAE. In Kingston, Camille Chedda’s Chain of Love revived a forgotten space with community stories and the resilient rice and peas bush. In Johannesburg, Ophidian’s Promise became the city’s first eco-duct, offering safe passage for wildlife across a river. And in Dubai, Muhannad Shono’s A Forgotten Place turned AC runoff water drops into a lifeline for feral plants thriving in the city’s margins. With the help of the creative districts, Kingston Creative, Victoria Yards and Alserkal Avenue, AIL will be shaped not only by local ecologies but by a more profound commitment to sustainability in both concept and production. #ArtworkIngredientList #AFeralCommons #Dubai #Kingston #Johannesburg #UAP #UrbanArtProjects #MuhannadShono #CamilleChedda #IoMakandal #KingstonCreative #VictoriaYards #AlserkalAvenue

Memphis’s Medical District Park has a new monument honouring the unseen labour of caregiving. “Monuments to Motherhood” is a trio of bronze sculptures by Molly Gochman designed to create moments of connection. The sculptures' open, looping forms invite rest, play, and reflection. Over time, the bronze surfaces will evolve, touched by weather and by those who engage with them—a living record of human connection. Bringing these sculptures to life was a process as intricate as the labour they honour. Molly's maquettes were transformed into full-scale bronze forms in our New York workshop, refined through digital modelling, casting, welding, and patination.
