Union Pacific Railroad’s Post

📚 All aboard! There’s learning to be done. Locomotive Engineer John Varnell was recently asked to read to Arkansas elementary school students and answer questions about trains and working for the railroad. 🚂 Great work, John!

How does spare time have a impact on those around us in our communities? What may seem like a lot isn’t quite what it seems. Everyday we as individuals have a choices to help make our world, communities and also coworkers better than yesterday. When we think about the benefits of helping others, our motivations are usually altruistic. But the benefits of volunteering, doing community service, and finding ways to help those around us also extend to ourselves. Our physical, mental, and social-emotional health all flourish the more we serve our local and global communities. In the past couple of weeks , I ve had the amazing opportunity to be able to give back to some amazing youngsters. One of our involved principal reached out for invitation to come read to her inspiring scholars. These scholars love for others to interact with them, also have some amazing questions about trains. No matter how busy we get , we can all make a difference everyday.@midamerica Union Pacific Railroad
