🚂 #DYK 25% of Union Pacific’s volume originates or terminates on a short line railroad? Union Pacific CEO Jim Vena talked about the value regional short lines provide to the supply chain, providing critical first- and last-mile service, at this year’s American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association meeting in Denver. He told the group of more than 700 attendees Union Pacific considers them critical partners in our plans to grow and convert more truck traffic onto rail.

For his efforts in raising community awareness of rail safety across Houston, Union Pacific awarded Conductor David Welch the 2024 Dennis G. Beachler Grade Crossing Safety Award for the second consecutive year.
