Community impact? The primary impact of this firms business model increases homelessness (currently at 10K+ homeless people on any given night) by gentrifying neighborhoods and forcing people who make less money out. "Global day for people and planet" yet the firm musters up 2 small bins of mostly dog and cat food...this doesn't even align. How about taking on projects that actually help to reduce the number of homeless people in the city instead of ones that are for the affluent population and for corporations to profit from. I hope other architecture studios in Toronto can learn from these fake displays of positive community impact. Many studios like this promote themselves as doing good but really at a foundational socio-economic level, they drive some of the biggest problems in the city. #thinkcritically #communityimpact #torontohomeless

Helping Families with School Uniforms 💚 We teamed up with Frank Rogers Building Contractors charitable foundation and Cash for Kids to support 62 low-income families across our neighbourhoods with school uniforms. Together, we raised over £9,500, providing essential items like shirts, jumpers, skirts, trousers, and coats for 131 children aged 4 to 17. Families received approximately £50 per child, helping to ease the cost-of-living pressures. One parent shared: "With the support, I was able to buy uniforms and even save enough for groceries that week. It made a huge difference." The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) recently awarded a $4,000 South Dakota Fund grant to Faith Alive Community Church. Funding will assist in providing funds for BelieveFest, an annual event that provides much needed school supplies to approximately 900 children from families with financial need. BelieveFest began as a way to respond to the high number of families in the Huron area who struggle financially to provide their school-aged children with their basic necessities for school. The issue of low-quality in-kind donations is a well-known problem in both charity work and disaster response operations. Arizona State University’s Mahyar Eftekhar, an associate professor of supply chain management at the W. P.
