As industry professionals, we understand the weight regulatory reviews can carry. Star Entertainment Group serves as a cautionary tale; their shares have plummeted 25% amidst a critical regulatory review by the New South Wales Independent Casino Commission. 📉
A second review in a year, recent inquiries revealed concerning practices and potential managerial oversights that could risk their NSW casino license. Stakeholders watch nervously as a 'catastrophic' license revocation could lead to immense financial implications, underscoring the importance of robust corporate governance and ethical operations. 🏦🕵️♂️
The ripples of this scrutiny raise the stakes for regulatory compliance within the industry. As we await the inquiry’s resolution, let's reflect on how these standards shape not only one company but also set precedents for the future landscape of market regulation. 📊✅

Building Legacy. Spreading the Good News. The greatest legacy one can pass on ... is not ... material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith [Billy Graham]
🤔 The History of Rotary Club and BNI: Lessons in Leadership, Networking, and Community Service. Thank you Dr David Foo for the sharing 😁 💪 👍
The Rotary Club and Business Network International (BNI) are two iconic organizations that have profoundly impacted professional networking and community service worldwide.
Rotary Club: Founded on February 23, 1905, by attorney Paul P. Harris in Chicago, Illinois, the Rotary Club started as a gathering of professionals from diverse backgrounds to share ideas and foster friendships. Harris and his friends envisioned a space to recreate the close-knit community spirit of their hometowns. The name "Rotary" was inspired by the initial meetings rotating among members' offices. Today, Rotary International has grown to over 1.2 million members in more than 35,000 clubs globally, dedicated to humanitarian services, promoting goodwill, and fostering peace.
BNI: Business Network International (BNI) was founded in January 1985 by Dr. Ivan Misner in Arcadia, California. BNI was established to provide a structured, positive, and professional referral marketing program, allowing members to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with other quality business professionals. The organization, which ensures no conflicts of interest by allowing only one representative from each profession per chapter, has grown to over 300,000 members across 79 countries.
Lessons Learned:
👉 Community Building: Both organizations emphasize the power of community and collaboration. By bringing together individuals with diverse expertise, they create environments where innovative ideas and mutual support thrive.
👉 Structured Networking: The structured approach of both Rotary and BNI highlights the importance of having a clear framework for networking and professional growth.
👉 Commitment to Service: Rotary's focus on humanitarian efforts and BNI's dedication to professional development remind us of the impact of serving others and contributing to the greater good.
👉 Adaptability and Growth: From their humble beginnings, both organizations have adapted and grown, showing the importance of evolving with the times while staying true to core values.
By learning from these pioneering organizations, we can better understand the importance of community, structured networking, service, and adaptability in both personal and professional realms.

While golf has been in a boom for a number of years, we need to remember the 70% of most memberships that utilize less than 30% of the tee sheet. Those are the ones you are at risk of losing if we hit a flat period or downturn in golf.
