The remaining 25% is leadership & mentorship of the other coaches and managing the inventory. Of the 22 locations across Canada, the average length of time at GOLFTEC is over 10 years. Annual Compensation is anticipated to be $110,000 to $120,000. Compensation components include a $70,000 annual salary, plus monthly commissions totaling $40,000-$50,000. Fresh Golf Solutions assisted with the Head Professional Search this past fall and one thing that stood out was the length of service the staff held at the club. More than a dozen of their staff have been with the club for more than 25 years. It's something you do not see very often anymore and shows the dedication by the staff and the members of the club to create a great culture.

Our own, Scott Kolb added an article in the latest edition of Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC)'s CMQ about how to best utilize your golf professionals to retain and engage members of your clubs. Creating a win for the club and a win for the golf professionals to make more money while working less time behind a counter. While golf has been in a boom for a number of years, we need to remember the 70% of most memberships that utilize less than 30% of the tee sheet. Those are the ones you are at risk of losing if we hit a flat period or downturn in golf.
