Interesting read today on an article by Milo Boyd and Krzysztof Boratyn Quoting Brett Ring from #Silverrail. I must admit I’ve never ever found the train to be faster than flying to #Edinburgh and looking at #Trainline just now I can’t find any trains from #Heathrow or #Gatwick to Edinburgh faster than the flying time stated. There are cancellations and delays meaning the changes done work. What are your thoughts on this? Have you been able to get the pricing quoted in the article? What do you think is quicker? One of my favorite things about a Europe is the abundance of transportation options.

Today, when it is minus degrees outside, I am thinking about long distance truck drivers and their “homes away from home”, the parkings. To make a difference, I believe, we should start with these three: - Make a move to migrate the EU truck parking standards into EU Member States' legislations, but also into the UNECE AETR Agreement, to allow others benefit from them; - To adapt the EU co-funding, to extend eligibility and facilitate funding access criteria, to resolutely increase the number of “bronze” level truck parkings by a factor of ... (I let you put the figure) in the coming five years; - To green truck parkings, to increase their acceptability at local level. The rest will be given to us… by definition, no?
