The year’s almost over, so it’s time for that moment: taking stock of everything you’ve achieved. But how do you reflect on a year’s worth of work? Of wins, and losses? What’s your method for celebrating the highs, surviving the lows, and appreciating the ride? Is it… 👏 The LinkedIn humblebrag round-up. You pull together stats, big wins, and standout projects, wrap them in a neat bow, and drop them in a post. “2024 – we did that!” ❤ The team kudos session. You gather the crew, crack open the snacks (and maybe the bubbly), and spend time sharing shoutouts and stories of the year’s best moments. 💡 The journal and reflection method. You dig into what worked, what didn’t, and where you grew. (Bonus points for any inspirational quotes and highlighter colours involved.) 😆 The scroll back through your calendar and cry-laugh. You see how wildly overbooked you were all year and realise, honestly, you’re a miracle worker for making it through. No matter the method, take a moment to appreciate the journey. Drop your reaction below and share how you like to wrap up the year! Before rushing into *new* year goals, what about... Every year for over a decade now, I've spent a good part of late December/early January capturing the year that's just ended before planning for the new one. I carve out interruption-free time to review everything I've done, reflect on any big challenges/opportunities/ah-ha moments/new ideas/etc and then crystalize the past year into 10-15 key takeaways. (If you want more details about how to do my Capture Your Year exercise for yourself, there's a step-by-step guide here: https://lnkd.in/ehWNSXuM). And the reason I've found doing this so essential is that if we *don't* capture our years, they fly past us as if nothing has changed. And we run the risk of making the same mistakes again and again. And we run the risk of despairing about where the time went. Because too many of us too-often feel like time runs away from us or victimizes us. And we agonize over the days, weeks, months, years and think “I’m glad that’s over...” or "There's so much still left to do..." or "Where the heck did the time go!"... Well, by Capturing Your Year, you know. And you finally register all of the growth or change or progress that HAS happened. So, yes, setting goals and targets and ambitions for the next 12 months is great, but let's not forget about the past 12 months, either. By Capturing Your Year, I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you've done/learned/built/grown, and you can then use that momentum - and that feeling of "Damn, I didn't realize I did all that!" - to fuel and energize you for all that's still to come. Win. Win. I'll be sharing my own takeaways from 2024 once I finish Capturing My Year, so watch this space... #captureyouryear #thereistime #selfleadership #newyear

Can you believe it’s already December? One moment, we’re mapping out our big plans for the year, and the next, we’re drowning in end-of-year deadlines, wrapping up projects, and scrambling to check off everything we promised we’d get done. It’s a good time to pause and ask: ❓Am I living the kind of life I want, running my business the way that feels right for me, or building the career I dream of? Life moves so fast, doesn’t it? All the laughs, the tears, the mistakes we swore we’d never repeat (but totally did), the dreams we promised ourselves we’d chase (but didn’t) - it’s all zipped by. And those things we meant to say, do, or feel? They somehow slipped through our fingers and disappeared into someday. Now here we are, at the final stretch. December. The last month of the year. It’s the perfect time to stop and ask ourselves: 👉 Am I building something that feels meaningful, or just going through the motions without real purpose? 👉 Have I invested in becoming the person I want to be - both professionally and personally? 👉 What would it look like to step into the new year fully aligned with my values, dreams, and purpose? December’s here. Let’s finish strong - and start dreaming even bigger for the year ahead. --- I’m Vered Ohanna from Success Engineering - helping business owners and executives align their mindset, passion, strategy, and actions for long-term success. #YearEndReflection #LiveWithPurpose #MeaningfulMoments #CareerClarity #DecemberGoals

I’m hitting pause to reflect on a year of growth, grit, and gratitude. Come with me! Like many, 2024 was a big year—personally and professionally. It brought moments of celebration and challenge, both of which I’m grateful for. A personal story I keep coming back to is the power of momentum. This year taught me that every small decision—every email sent, connection made, or strategy put in motion—can lead to extraordinary results. Here’s what I’m celebrating as we wrap up the year: ✅ Business Evolution: I launched new services like the Strategic Acceleration package, and strengthened my Fractional Leadership offerings—designed to help mission-centered organizations scale faster and smarter. ✅ Client Impact: Partnered with inspiring organizations to tackle housing challenges, launch educational models, build green economy initiatives, and refine operational systems that are changing the game. ✅ Visibility & Thought Leadership: I started my own TV show (EmpowerED, with Jessica Flynn)—a platform to share stories, ideas, and local wisdom that can create widespread impact. I also launched a personal brand to house my public speaking work. TheJessicaFlynn.com has become the house where I hang my many professional hats. ✅ Balance: With two young kids, this remains a work in progress, but I’ve been more intentional than ever about creating boundaries and finding joy outside of work (even when the to-do list feels endless). And areas I’m growing into in 2025: 📌 Saying no more often to make space for my best work. 📌 Stepping fully into the speaking space—sharing stories and strategies that empower others to dream big and act boldly. 📌 Scaling my consulting practice to support more organizations—without compromising on quality or time. If this year taught me anything, it’s that the journey is the growth. There’s no “final destination”—just a series of small, intentional steps that move us closer to the impact we want to make. So here’s to the final moments of a dynamic year, and to a bright year ahead—full of lessons, momentum, and moments that matter. What are you celebrating from 2024? Drop a win (big or small) in the comments—let’s end this year on a high note!

So, here we are, the end of another year sneaking up on us! A lot of us are rushing around, tackling those last-minute holiday chores and trying to crush our work goals. Before we even realize, a fresh new year will be rolling in, and we’ll be back on that familiar grind. One thing that really helps me kick off the new year is taking a little time to look back on the past twelve months. I’ve learned that if I skip this step, I’ll just end up dragging the same old issues and hiccups into the next year. If you're curious, check out my latest post for some cool ways to celebrate what you’ve achieved and set yourself up for a fantastic new year.
