Soooo, the equivalent of a candidate receiving a "We regret to inform you but we've decided to go in a different direction..." email four years later, sometimes for a role we never applied to? 50/50 relationships feel weird sometimes.

I just had someone reply to my message from 2022.

i mean in this job market, i get it. i can't even count how many times i’ve applied to a role, got hit with the classic “we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates,” and then—✨surprise✨—a year (or some substantial amount of time later), the job is still posted or magically reposted.
