Turn your “I have to’s” into “I get to’s” and your whole energy will shift. … I ‘get to’ develop this plan. … I ‘get to’ prep for the meeting. … I ‘get to’ work out today. … I ‘get to’ (fill in the blank with any task you may put off or dread) You’ll start to realize the many opportunities you have to impact those around you when you put this reframing in place, and you’ll take your power back by owning the way you frame your thinking. I find that when I intentionally do this, it unlocks more creativity and overall excitement for my life. This works just as well for the stories we tell ourselves about our experiences. Reframing challenging past seasons in your life as opportunities that shaped you, built grit or taught you lessons is a powerful way to free yourself from destructive negative narratives. Think “I ‘got to’ be tested in that way”, or “I got to prove to myself that I was capable of XYZ…”. A total shift! #gratitude and #attitude are everything.
My energy, every single ounce of it, comes from gratitude ❤️ There's a lot going on in the world and for me, the thing that helps me keep perspective and keep going with the high energy I have is the understanding that There's just so much to be thankful for .. especially if you're lucky enough to have health and well-being for yourself and your family❤️

Looking back on the Thanksgiving holiday and thinking about the many things I am grateful for, I came across a quote that was too timely to not to be shared: "Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another." - John C. Maxwell. During my career, I've had the incredible privilege of working with diverse teams and witnessing the profound impact each member can have. It's not just the leaders or those in high-profile positions who make a difference; every single individual, regardless of their title, has the power to influence and shape the organization. Whether it's the admission staff at Wild Wadi Waterpark who ensured every guest had an unforgettable experience, the lifeguards at Aquaventure Waterpark, Great Wolf Lodge, City of Kissimmee, and Charlotte Mecklenburg County who prioritized safety above all, or the teams at the City of Box Elder who prioritized service and the needs of the citizens...each person's contribution is a vital thread in the tapestry of our collective success. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have impacted our teams (and me) in both small and large ways. It's the smile from a guest service representative, the innovative solution from a team member, the "warm welcome" and "fond farewell" of frontline staff, or the extra effort put in by someone to ensure a project's success. These actions, though sometimes unseen, are the difference makers! Thanksgiving does not have to be gratitude for just ONE day. Instead, we can carry this spirit of gratitude and appreciation into the coming year. Let's recognize and celebrate the influence each of us has on one another. Because in the end, it's not about titles or positions; it's about how we choose to impact the lives around us. Here's to continuing to make a positive impact...one life at a time.

Last Saturday it was 26 years ago that I joined Waters Corporation and typically I won't pay a lot of attention to my work anniversary, except for the big round numbers, like 15, 20 and 25. Though this time - thanks to the features of LinkedIn - from the moment I woke up on Saturday and still today I keep getting congratulation wishes in direct messages and comments and likes on a post LinkedIn generated itself. So I started to think ... 😀 First of all it's nice to get all these messages and I am sure it's good for the dopamine-instant-social media happiness emotions. 🎂 26 years is indeed a lot and probably not that common sense anymore nowadays. ❓ So ... what made me stay for 26 years? 🔬 Absolutely the customers that really want to work together, share their challenges, define problems and think about solutions. They keep us at the top of our toes, moving the needle day after day with respect for each other's needs. 🌳 For sure a group of good managers that supported me, that challenged me and that gave me opportunities to grow and to learn. 🕸 The big network of colleagues in the "maze" that Waters sometimes can be. 🚫 The people leaders that made it obvious on how I would not like to lead people, and therefore emphasizing the importance of transparency, trust and admitting that there is plenty that you don't know (yet). 🌈 Opportunities that came via specific projects totally out of my comfort zone, and giving me the challenge that I need regularly. I love to start things from scratch or dismantle chaos into something that gives synergy. Not doing this in isolation, though bring a diverse group of people together to tackle the problem. Learn from the different viewpoints to make something better, better than yesterday. 🌞 Thank You, I am grateful for the 26 years. Let's see what the future brings ...

🎉 Celebrating a Milestone! 🎉 We are thrilled to celebrate Peter Hanzel‘s 20th anniversary with in our company! Over the past two decades, his dedication, expertise, and commitment have been crutial in our success. Thank you, Peter, for your remarkable contributions and unwavering loyalty. We are sure we have a lot of achievements and growth still together in front of us! Curious to know why Peter stayed with us for 20 years? Here is his answer😊 I can summarize it in 3 reasons - ordered by priority - 1. the team, 2. non-monotonous work, 3. option to choose my own path. The team makes you feel at work like on a friend event. Of course there are ups and downs, but even in downs team was there to help to get out of the ... it. [😉] The work was always interesting, sometimes more challenging, sometimes more annoying and of course sometimes a little monotonous as at any other work. What also helped a lot that most of my team leads have aIways acted as one of us. I started as a developer, changed to a consultant, then become a consulting manager to end up on a position of a product manager mainly of SNP DTS and CB Shell Creator. ...a campfire/beer stories could be told [🙂] #Anniversary #Milestone #Teamwork
