Have you noticed your digital advertising costs are only going one way? A lot has changed in social media over the last years - social media platforms have evolved from simple networking sites to powerful marketing tools. Brands and businesses increasingly rely on these platforms to engage with consumers, build relationships, and promote products. However, as the competition intensifies and algorithms change, acquiring and maintaining an audience on social media is becoming an extremely expensive business!!! As more brands compete for customer’s attention, the cost per click (CPC) and cost per thousand impressions (CPM) have skyrocketed. Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn are continuously updating their algorithms, making organic reach a dry river bed! Without paying to boost you are unlikely to get much visibility. In addition to this, there are the algorithm changes that favour personal posts and popular trends, and businesses are not that great at creating truly 'social' content - when strict brand guidelines are imposed it tends to look like 'corporate' media, and not very social. Anybody out there remember the classic "we 'just' need a viral marketing campaign"? There are tens of millions of posts made daily, so getting content to cut through ain't easy, and it is only going to get harder. Using influencers is still a popular and cost effective method today, although with some caveats! Audiences have become wary of people being paid to pretend. And once you've finally got that audience, then what? Well, you need to keep feeding the audience with content, otherwise goodbye expensively acquired audience! If this all sounds familiar, don't hesitate to get in touch. We can't solve everyone's social media challenges, but if you are looking for cost effective ways to reach and grow audiences, and engage your community, we can definitely help. We can help you reach large audiences organically through our world-leading technology. #socialkred #contentsharing #socialmediamarketing #socialmediasponsorship #sportskred

Diving into the world of social media ads can feel like stepping into uncharted territory. I remember my first campaign—exciting, a little intimidating, but oh-so-rewarding! Here's what I've learned along the way: Know Your Audience: Before spending a single dollar, take time to understand who you're targeting. The more you know about your audience, the better you can tailor your ads to meet their needs and interests. Set Clear Goals: Whether it's driving traffic, generating leads, or boosting brand awareness, having clear objectives will guide your ad strategy and help you measure success. Start Small, Test Often: Don’t be afraid to start with a modest budget. Experiment with different ad formats, visuals, and copy. A/B testing is your best friend here—small tweaks can lead to significant improvements. Leverage the Platforms: Each social media platform has its own unique features and audience. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn—know where your audience hangs out and tailor your ads accordingly. LinkedIn, for instance, is fantastic for B2B targeting, while Instagram shines for visually-driven campaigns. Monitor and Optimize: Running the ad is just the beginning. Keep an eye on performance metrics, and be ready to adjust your strategy. It's a continuous process of learning and refining. Paid social media advertising is an incredible tool, but like any tool, its effectiveness depends on how you use it. Start with a plan, be patient, and keep learning. Have you had any wins (or lessons) with social media ads? I’d love to hear your experiences! #SocialMediaMarketing #PaidAdvertising #DigitalMarketing

Determining target age range for digital/social media ads I was working for a brand that had a specific target audience, but not necessarily one that marked a certain age range. When I was setting up social media ads for this brand, I was confused when it came to specifying the age range we wanted the sponsored posts to reach. Working with 18+ audiences makes it easier with laws in certain countries so that was an easy decision to make (especially since they weren’t specifically targeting anyone under 18). The scale went all the way up to 65+ years. There was no option but to experiment for a few hours, I realized (I’ll admit, with some excitement because I love to experiment). And it really wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. The first few hours of running one add showed me exactly what age range was engaging with it the most. I stopped that add and ran a new one that narrowed down the age range. Not only did the new ad get a better response, but it also helped the team get a clearer understanding of who our audience was, just based off of some quick and easy market testing. I’m a big proponent of experimenting with content, audiences, and social media marketing tactics. If this example resonated with something you’re currently focussing on with your social media marketing, give this a try and let me know how it worked for you!
