Why are job postings so unrealistic these days? I saw a job posting for a full-time Marketing Assistant. I'm not looking for an assistant role, but it came through my feed and thought I'd see what they required for a candidate at this level. Pay: $18/hr + commissions. (Not exactly sure what a commission structure could look like for an assistant - doesn't say.) Now here's the kicker: the list of REQUIRED EXPERIENCE makes me think they are looking for a one-person marketing department (see picture), not an assistant. They want skills in email marketing, social media, copywriting, paid ads, graphic design, and more. When did marketers have to be experts at all things? What makes a company think they will get high-quality results across all these disciplines from one person?
