Attending #AgroVision Nagpur MS India 15th Agrovision: India's Premier Agri Summit Ranking second in the world in farm output, the agricultural sector is the backbone of Indian Economy contributing majorly to the country's GDP (Gross Domestic Product). As on February 2018, it is estimated that over 58% of rural Indians depend on agriculture for their livelihood and this sector contributes around 17-18% to the country's GDP. The Indian food industry is also poised for huge growth which employs more than 50% of the workforce in India. The contribution is going to increase in world food trade every year due to its immense potential for value addition, particularly within the food processing industry. The industry and agriculture have linkages which need to be reinforced for having an integrated economy with special farmer-industry partnership. Thus it is required to educate and equip farmers with latest technologies and farm practices. The current situation of agriculture is challenging and in Central India, the circumstances are not different; however the chances to overcome are more. Vidarbha region is blessed with abundant forests, fertile black soil, water resources and appropriate weather conditions favourable for agriculture. What more is needed is educating farmers about better/smart farming by adopting modern technology, implementing correct cropping pattern, new avenues in agriculture, importance of allied agri. businesses like dairy, food and fruit processing, goat farming, fisheries, poultry etc. to minimise the dependability on agriculture to make farming financially affordable and profitable. Agrovision was conceived in the year 2007 to create a common platform for the farmers, industry, and government and bring together every important entity in agriculture to create a better future for the farmers. The vision of Agrovision is to create a more knowledgeable, practical and a smart famer. Agrovision is one such genuine initiative, which is providing an integrative framework and a platform to bring all the stakeholders consisting of farmers, Government, NGOs, Scientists, Industry under single umbrella to deliberate and debate at different levels for all around growth of agriculture. Agrovision's basic objective has always been to Educate, Encourage and Empower the farmers through its major activities i.e. Free Workshops for farmers, International Exhibition, Expert Panel Discussions, Conference etc.. Agrovision has completed 13 years of its march and brought about a profound impact on farm economy of Central India. #Agrovision #UniverseExports #agriculture #villages #innovation #farm #EcoFriendlyFarming #sustainableagriculture

What will it take to make India an #agriculture #export powerhouse!!?? Agree with Dr. Parashram Patil on improving agri infra and reducing logistics costs. Beyond this, there is a pressing need for educating the farmers around crop stewardship. There's nothing more damaging to the quality and shelf life, than the wrong practices carried out on farms out of ignorance. Tata Chemicals and Desai AgriFoods were pioneers in educating #farmers for banana stewardship almost 15 years ago. The fruits of those efforts are being relished by everyone in banana exports now, for the past 5 years. Similar efforts for agronomic practices, balanced nutrition, IPM, pre and post harvest activities are required especially for #horticulture #crops to establish India's name as a supplier of consistent quality in agri output space. I am super excited to be participating in the Inaugural edition of Indusfood Agritech Summit and learning from the motley group of experts from agri and technology domain. I believe, there’s never been a more exciting time then now for ‘sustainable agriculture’, where more and more individuals, enterprises, start-ups, premier research institutes, and government bodies have all come together to transform agriculture into a new age industry by integrating technology and AI in every aspect of the value chain. We can only imagine the abundance it will unlock in our country as the potential and expectation the industry holds is not just 2X but raise to the power X. At IFFCO Kisan we are building a sustainable, alternative value chain across India. Our mission is to empower farmers with precision farming tools and help them adopt climate-resilient, data-driven farming practices. To ensure the value chain’s sustainability, we offer a demand-driven turnkey program for enterprises and fulfil their requirement in all three phases of farming – pre-production, production and post-production. So, whether you are an enterprise looking for an IPM produce, or you are looking to run a scope 3 emission control program, or to grow and procure a special seed variety, or you may be a research institute interested in customizing and deploying a new technology… We ensure the turnkey execution from one end to other. Thus, we are creating a decentralized system which creates a win-win situation for all stakeholders – farmers and agribusinesses alike. We are looking for more like-minded partners and grow the ‘sustainable farming network’ across geographies and crops. Join us at the Indusfood Agritech Summit at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi from January 9-11, 2025. #iffcokisan #agritech #indusfoodagritech #sustainability

Took part in the Krushi Agri Exhibition, which took place from August 16 to August 20 in Tasgaon, Sangli District. Wonderful occasion. Almost 10,000 farmers are visited for this occasion. Although we have seen many industry shows so far, we have never seen the incredible response that our farmer friends and their families have shown. You won't believe that the entire farming family has traveled, in addition to businessmen. This is quite fascinating and stimulating to the agribusiness! Being employed in the agriculture sector makes me happy. To strengthen the foundation of this nation, let us focus on creating new farming methods. Take the initiative to be the farmers' guide and friend. We are going to innovate new farming techniques in the future. #landscape Our goal is to change people's perspectives. Farming as a business: from duty to profit Traditional farming methods need to change with the times. You have to think of a crop as a product. "Agri Companion India" enters the picture here. We don't stop here; we keep taking care of it till the completed product reaches its destination. #future Agri Exhibition DeHaat #Farmers First

Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh highlighted efforts in states like Uttar Pradesh, where the National Dairy Development Board is providing essential technical support. Recent MoUs with Madhya Pradesh aim to enhance the #Sanchi brand and improve operational efficiency. This initiative not only boosts farmer income but also strengthens the cooperative framework, ensuring sustainable growth in the dairy sector. What do you think the future holds for dairy farming in India? #DairyCooperatives #nddb #dairy #FarmerEmpowerment #SustainableAgriculture Dhiraj kumar Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA)
