These days half of my LinkedIn feed seems to be news from China: The local ADAS/AD industry (and automotive in general) is on an impressive trajectory. I'm excited to see the country for myself next month ... "Since the launch of China's first high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone in September 2020, [Beijing] has successfully developed intelligent infrastructure across 600 square kilometers [to be expanded to nearly 3,000 km².] The demonstration zone has issued road test permits to 33 companies, covering nearly 900 vehicles with a combined autonomous driving test mileage of over 32 million kilometers, accounting for more than a quarter of the total national autonomous test mileage."
