Specialized training for our highest performing group of teachers? That's the RMP way. 💫 This October, we launched a specialized training program for an incredible group of RMP educators - our PEAK Teachers. At RMP, our PEAK Teacher program highlights and rewards our highest-performing teachers. They are designated as either Innovators, Pathfinders, or Explorers and receive an additional stipend for the school year, increasing some of their salaries to six figures! 🫰 This first training was an inspiring start to a year of growth and collaboration, filled with purposeful activities that sparked new insights and strengthened our community bond. Together, they’re setting a dynamic course for the year, one that promises to elevate our classrooms, enrich our students’ experiences, and advance our mission. 😍 We’re excited to watch our PEAK Teachers lead the way!

I love this post by Shkaabe Makwa and CAMH, which gives practical examples of strength-based strategies that parents and caregivers can use to support their young ones through the transition. Even better, these strategies can be used by anyone going through a change and need extra support. #Parenting #MentalHealth #Change #Support

These are some of the reasons why Continuous Professional Development is important for educators: ✓CPD allows educators to explore new teaching methodologies and strategies, enabling them to create more engaging and effective learning experiences for their students. It helps educators adapt their teaching styles to cater to diverse student needs and learning preferences. ✓Helps educators to keep up with the latest technology. Education is constantly evolving, especially with the integration of technology and changing societal needs. CPD enables educators to adapt to these advancements and leverage new tools and methodologies effectively. ✓CPD provides educators with the knowledge and tools to address various learning challenges that students might face, including those with special educational needs. It equips them to create inclusive and supportive learning environments. On Saturday 18/01/2025, I was honoured to join other panelists during the A Walk Through Education (AWTE)'s weekly virtual intellectual exchange webinar as we delved deeper into this topic. Thanks to Dr. Gloria Ayogu for the platform and invitation.

We guess by now that you know it’s Head Start Awareness Month, but did you also know it’s National Learning and Development Month? Yup, this month dedicated to acknowledging the importance of early childhood education is also used as a reminder for grown-up learning too. Just like with our kiddos, it’s important that we take time for growth. A few ideas on ways you can celebrate learning include: * Listen to a TED Talk * Join a book club * Take a free online class * Dive into a book in a new area of interest * Connect with others to share AND learn * Attend a workshop
