🔴 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞! 🔴
An active worldwide outage has been triggered by a faulty Crowdstrike update.
For an in-depth analysis, check out the latest video by Cory Wolff, our Director of Offensive Security. 🎥

Bottom Line:
- This is (probably) not an attack, it was faulty software that was most likely installed automatically on your machines.
- Your data isn't being stolen or leaked, you just can't use your machines.
- This requires a manual fix on EVERY affected machine (to include servers).
And since you're here, if I may be so bold...
Bonus Tip: Have a backup plan. (And test it.) We struggle to gain traction with a large share of our clients when we recommend more detailed risk mitigation or business continuity measures. A common pushback is, "Well, if <AWS/CrowdStrike/Microsoft/Cloudflare/etc.> goes down, it'll be affecting way more than just us! People will understand."
The reality is no one cares if it's not your FAULT your software is broken, they just want it fixed. Try being the airline desk attendant telling a tired family their connecting flight was just cancelled, but that it's "not your fault" and that "everyone's experiencing it." You might not be wrong, but you may never recover your business from that family. Especially if they're watching a rival airline that DID have a backup plan start boarding their flight shortly afterwards.

From "Sorry, SAP" to "Sorry, odoo.sh" 😁
Well, nothing bad with Odoo.sh
Just sometimes would be nice to have your own one.
Something more than just another host-your-odoo-in-the-cloud-solution.
Something that you could install on your own Odoo instance and manage your servers from inside Odoo.
Something like we are going to open-source on the 1st of October 😉

implementing a Video on Demand (VOD) streaming with Nginx would be interesting
But there are several alternatives ::
1. Apache HTTP Server with mod_h264_streaming
2. FFmpeg + HLS/DASH (Direct Streaming)
3. Wowza Streaming Engine
4. Flussonic
5. Red5 Pro
6. Caddy with HLS/DASH
7. SRS (Simple Realtime Server) , ....
Wowza, Red5, or SRS offer more specialized features, like built-in transcoding, lower latency, or multi-protocol support

We've recently released a new version of Iggy server & SDK, and the most important change is a brand-new storage based on a command log. This takes us one step closer to the future replication feature! :)
