Well, we're officially halfway through January and I haven't written a New Year's post. I realize that no one really cares about my “2024 update,” per se, but 2024 has been such a monumental year that I feel compelled to share a few insights. Over the past few years (2020–23), the churn of a global pandemic, several personal tragedies, and career changes had me feeling like I was barely treading water in life. This past year, however, truly turned things around for me and helped me clarify goals and priorities for the years ahead. If you happen to feel like you’re treading water, keep going and look for opportunities to follow new currents—you might just find fresh inspiration and productivity.🌊 With a heart full of gratitude, I want to highlight a few aspects that made 2024 shine for me: 1.) FAMILY: Chris and I worked hard to build the right support team to help our family overcome some challenges. I’m so grateful for his partnership and support throughout the year. Anyone who knows me well understands that’s not an easy task!🙃 2.) WORK: Work is such an essential part of the human experience, and this year, I was proud and inspired every day to be part of our incredible team at Camp4 Collective. The level of talent, professionalism, collaboration, and sheer grit everyone poured into our work was so motivating. I can’t wait to keep the momentum going in 2025. We’ve got a lot of exciting news and projects to share soon, so stay tuned!✨ 3.) HEALTH: This summer, I ran seven Wasatch Trail Series races and the Moab Trail Half Marathon. While I’ve always been a runner, competition has taken a backseat since becoming a mom. It felt amazing to set a consistent schedule of healthy challenges and fun.💨 I can’t wait to catapult into 2025 with more energy and purpose. TIME TO CELEBRATE! It’s important to pause and reflect on the progress we've made—both individually and as a team. - Professionally and personally too. In the hustle of day-to-day tasks, it’s easy to overlook how far we’ve come. This year has been full of challenges, wins, and growth, and it's essential to take a moment to appreciate our hard work and the strides we've made—personally and professionally. Whether it's new skills acquired, goals achieved, or moments of resilience, every step counts. As a team, we've collaborated, supported one another, and pushed toward shared goals. Together, we've achieved more than we might realise. As Robert Collier says: "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." What are you most proud of in 2024? Your Time Will Come When others around us experience wins and accomplishments, we should take a moment to genuinely celebrate their triumphs. Clapping for the success of our colleagues, peers, and even competitors is a powerful act. It not only acknowledges their hard work and dedication, but it also sends a positive message that we are secure in ourselves and our own abilities. By celebrating others, we create an atmosphere of mutual support and collaboration, which can ultimately benefit us all. Remember, your time will come. The more you invest in uplifting and encouraging those around you, the more likely it is that you will receive that same energy in return. When you cheer on the successes of others, you're planting seeds that can blossom into future opportunities for yourself. So the next time you see someone achieve a milestone or reach a goal, take a moment to offer a sincere round of applause.There is enough success to go around. A former Sales Manager in my past, just got a job at Crowdstrike She's now releasing her inhibitions, empowered. I feel like I'm about to jump out of my skin, bolder, and badder, more helpful to the world, when Employers receive women, instead of put hurdles in front of them. What Bright Lights can I put on the next bridge, to make life just a little more brighter for the world? When AI released, I leaped a second time. A company asked me to be open, be coachable into a new system. Illana Golan has been retreating with Richard Branson. How facinating that would be for me to tap some special people. I'm holding my feet to the fire, tired on my own frustrations with myself. I can drive like a machine, and then I can rest, at times. When my head spins, I have to use the ear seeds, massage and a hot tub to balance myself. I have a different process for working the mind, body and breathe. Truth is, your thoughts matter! In Sales, my Partners are an extension of me. Sometimes we might compete, but not if we're working it right, in good communication, and with a spirit that is good for the end users. We balance, support, and act as ONE TEAM! New learnings: a "one call close". You've never heard of it, I know. Me either. Not in Enterprise, I don't think, but I'm being open minded. Did you see that ZOOM took my advice on IVR? Its a new cloud offerring. Smartest move EVER! Its now REALTIME AI TRANSACTIONS EVERYWHERE. Yesterday, I had a first job interview in years. I always keep an open mind. The first question was self-sabatogging from a Hiring Mgr. It was, "Do you have a book of business?" Its a BIASED question toward having relationships with certain companies of which he could call out the names, specifically. You CAN'T do that anymore! My response was, "You're not giving me an opportunity to present the best of myself". He was set aback, and proceeded with the second question. It became a 30 min interview. I give him credit for his bravery to see a women. He's now someone in my fold to call on, for another reason in my Communities. I never throw opportunities away. I'll bring him value, and he will bring me value one day. This is a sales lesson, if you can't quite recognize it.
