Port of Bellingham’s Post

The I&J Waterway was buzzing last week! First, a pod of Orcas was caught on video swimming through the waterway, a sight that shows the fruits of cleanup and restoration. The Port of Bellingham’s efforts to remove contaminants and modernize maritime infrastructure are creating a healthier marine environment, making moments like this possible. Meanwhile, All American Marine, Inc celebrated the sendoff of a large vessel deck, built right in their Bellingham workshop by Whatcom County’s vibrant working waterfront . This revitalized waterway is now a hub for both marine life and industry, a true success story for our waterfront.
