A great new paper and capability for mooring dynamics modeling: Serag-Eldin Abdelmoteleb created a frequency-domain lumped-mass mooring model! It's one of the coolest mooring modeling approaches I've ever seen. We're very fortunate that Serag did this with MoorPy and worked with us to get it fully integrated with the code so that the approach can be used for future coupled frequency-domain models as well. More to come on this!

The 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 has been delivered! ✔️ This is the second of the two sister ships 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐬 (𝐂𝐒𝐎𝐕𝐬) built by ULSTEIN, featuring the innovative SX222 design, developed in close collaboration between Ulstein and Olympic Subsea ASA.   At Ingeteam, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐒𝐆 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬) based on Ingedrive LV800 series. Our converters supply a fix AC voltage/frequency towards the switchboard regardless of the generators speed, which is dynamically adjusted to match load requirements. The consequence is a reduction close to 50% in fuel consumption during DP operations.   Additionally, we delivered 4 𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄™ 𝐋𝐕800 water-cooled AFE drives for the main propulsions and 1 𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄™ 𝐋𝐕800 water-cooled grid converter for the battery system.
