The first draft of the Broadcasting Services Regulation Bill was made public, while the second draft was shared with select stakeholders in July 2024. However, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting later withdrew it, stating that a new draft would be released soon. Unofficial copies of the second draft of the Broadcasting Bill from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting raised worries about transparency and public engagement in the legislative process.
