Storytime! ✨ ✨ ✨ The Lesson from the Lemonade Stand When Daniel was a kid, he set up a lemonade stand, charging $1 a cup. His grandpa came by and suggested he charge $2. ‘People will pay for quality,’ he said. So Daniel used higher-quality ingredients and, to his surprise, people lined up and paid the higher price. The small lesson stuck with him: value matters more than price. Years later, in business, Daniel realized this principle still held. It’s not just what you sell—it’s the value you offer. 💡 Lesson: People don’t just buy a product; they buy the value behind it. Are you focusing on price, or are you building something valuable? #valueoverprice #addvalue #needversuswants

Do you agree that profitability is a choice? 🤔 I think of it like this: Imagine you're 12 years old and opening your first lemonade stand. Could you open the stand with just $100? Yes. Could you open it with $1,000? Yes, and it would be even cooler! My point is that our business will consume however much money we allow it to consume. It's time to pay yourself first before you build an even cooler lemonade stand.

Do you like Lemonade? I actually love lemonade...just saying 😜 Lets talk business for a moment... We’ve all been there—facing unexpected challenges that feel like life just handed us a whole lot of lemons. Lemons are an opportunity in disguise. The trick is to turn that sour moment into something refreshing Getting creative... just like lemonade isn’t one-size-fits-all, neither is your business strategy. Experiment with new ideas. Could that product that’s not selling well be reimagined? Maybe there’s a niche market you haven’t tapped into yet. Squeeze!!! When resources are tight, it’s time to be resourceful. Look at your existing assets—people, products, and processes—and ask, “How can we get more out of what we already have?” Sometimes the best innovations come from simply maximizing what’s in front of you. A little sugar :) Engage with your customers in a way that adds value. Offer them something extra—whether it’s exceptional customer service, a bonus with purchase, or a heartfelt thank you. Your attitude is contagious. When your team and customers see you staying positive and pushing forward, they’re more likely to follow suit. Optimism, even in the toughest times, can be the sweetest ingredient. So, when the going gets tough, make the best lemonade your business has ever seen! L'chaim 😉 #BusinessResilience #Innovation #EntrepreneurMindset

I wrote the below back in 2017 on my Medium page, twigged it a bit and res-haring it here! Salty Chips = More Beer Pure math… kind of. Disclaimer: I do eat a lot of chips, I do drink a lot of beer, but it has nothing to do with this article. Companies solve problems, relieve pains. I’ve heard it a million times: “Find a problem and solve it,” “Be the solution.” This is true, and it’s what should be done. But it reminded me of something my great-grandmother used to do. Here’s the story: Somewhere in the 1970s, in a village called Lysi (close to Famagusta, Cyprus), a little boy named Nicos (my dad) visited the coffee shop his grandfather owned. There, his grandmother was the cook, and she had just finished frying chips. Nicos tried to eat one, but it was extremely salty. He asked his grandmother why they were so salty, and she responded, “The saltier the chips, the more beer they drink.” A simple yet profoundly business-oriented quote by an uneducated woman—she was creating a problem for which she already had the solution! It sounds simple, but if you apply it to different scenarios, you’ll see the reason I took the time to write this post. In action films, the bad guys create a virus and a vaccine. They poison everyone and then blackmail them to get whatever they want. Supermarkets with in-house bakeries often place vents near the entrance to waft the smell of freshly baked goods, enticing customers to buy them. Games! You start playing, and you need resources to pass a level. You can either spend countless hours grinding or purchase them via in-app transactions. If the game didn’t exist, you wouldn’t need to buy anything. And the list goes on. So, long (not so long) story short: Not sure if it’s radical or stupid, but I genuinely believe that companies that create a problem and already have the solution are far more likely to succeed. That’s all, folks. #business #saltychips

Toast the pepitas! I was recently making a creamy turkey ancho soup recipe and everything was going well. So far everything was in one pot (less dishes to do) and smelling great! Then it said to get out a skillet and toast the handful of pepitas that would go on top at the end. Seriously? Dirty another dish, add another step, why would I do that? But I did and WOW did it make a HUGE difference! Often when we partner with new community financial institutions and work with their financial advisors they have their way of doing business, the recipe they have always followed. Not all are open to doing things differently, maybe thinking things are adding extra work, dirtying more dishes. But those that are open to new ideas often see their businesses grow. One recent bank we started working with that was open to trying a new recipe was able to add so many more assets under management from just three clients that it will result in $168,000 additional annual recurring revenue and an increase in the advisor’s compensation. What are you missing out on with the recipe you and your financial advisors have been following. Let’s have a conversation. Toast the pepitas!

Remember that time you bought something that was a total dud? Yeah, that sinking feeling is what your customers fear most It's like ordering a juicy burger and getting a soggy salad instead, lol 😂 My friend once bought an online course that promised to turn him into a master chef in 30 days. But the reality? Microwaving ramen noodles was the only culinary skill he mastered... But here's the thing A weak guarantee was the warning sign he ignored. "30-day money-back guarantee" sounded good, but it was just a hollow promise. ↙ No real commitment ↙ No personal touch. Just a generic, cookie-cutter guarantee that didn't instill any confidence. That's why I want to share a game-changing secret with you the Hybrid Guarantee... It's like a superhero sidekick for your customers. By combining two or more guarantees, you create an unbeatable promise that makes your customers feel like they're walking on sunshine! Imagine this "Full refund + we'll personally help you achieve X" or "100% satisfaction + a free bonus gift!" It's like having a safety net and a personal coach all in one! Think about it like this: your customers are already nervous about buying from you (especially if it's their first time). They're thinking "What if this doesn't work out?" or "What if I'm not satisfied?" A hybrid guarantee eases those concerns and makes them feel like they're in good hands. ........................................................................................................................... PS: Some secret sauce I just dropped below

Imagine you own a cupcake shop. You've figured out how to make the perfect cupcake. People love it. They want to own your recipe. But you're not sure how to monetize it. You license it. Selling the recipe to other bakeries, cafes, even restaurants. Now, your recipe is making money for you even when you're sleeping. That's the power of licensing. It's not just for music and software creators. It's for anyone with a great idea. You own the idea. You own the license. Now, who wants a cupcake?
