The school year is fast approaching, and that means getting all the necessary check-ups for your child before the first day of school. While it's common for your child's pediatrician to check their vision during their health screening, an eye care provider specializes in caring for your child's eyes with the proper diagnostic tools and assessments. Since learning is 80% visual, your child's annual eye exam can help get ahead of any vision issues like myopia that may be developing. Schedule your child's eye exam today with an EyeMed Provider ➡ find a location near you: https://lnkd.in/gc5AD5cE

Occasionally I am struck by how the world I live in is designed for people that can hear well. I want to share my experiences and observations to give greater awareness and hopefully be a catalyst for change. This week I have a few medical appointments. The design of medical facilities and activities are not always D/deaf friendly and can often give rise to social anxiety. To my fellow disabled network, what other systemic design issues arise for you when attending medical appointments? #DisabilityInclusion #DisabledByDesign
